Luma ElevenLabs v3 voice: 21 credits per 1,000 characters in dollars
Luma lists ElevenLabs v3 TTS at 21 credits per 1,000 characters: $0.035 to $0.063 by plan. ElevenLabs lists $0.08 on its API and Sume lists $0.0475.

Luma charges 21 credits per 1,000 characters for ElevenLabs v3 text to speech, which is $0.063 on Plus, $0.047 on Pro and $0.042 on Ultra at monthly prices, and $0.035 to $0.0525 billed annually. That is below ElevenLabs' own $0.08 per 1,000 characters on its API page, and the Pro monthly figure lands within a tenth of a cent of Sume's $0.0475.
So Luma resells the same voice model for less than the maker's API list price, if you hold a plan and have credits to spare.
How are the dollar figures built?
Luma's pricing page lists Plus at $30 a month ($25 annual) for 10,000 credits, Pro at $90 ($75) for 40,000 and Ultra at $300 ($250) for 150,000. That gives per-credit prices of $0.003, $0.00225 and $0.002 monthly, and $0.0025, $0.001875 and about $0.001667 annually. Multiply by 21 for 1,000 characters.

Is Sume's TTS the same voice?
Not necessarily. Sume's TTS Router lists its own models and a single fixed rate; the $0.0475 figure on the pricing page is not a price for ElevenLabs v3. Use the table to compare cost, not to claim the same output. Listen to a sample from each before you pick on price.
Sume's rate also has a request cap: the pricing page lists a maximum of 20,000 characters per request.
What changes if I only need a few thousand characters?
For a 3,000-character voice-over, the three Luma plans cost $0.19, $0.14 and $0.13 against Sume's $0.14. These are all pennies. What differs is whether you must pay a monthly plan fee to get at the credits, or can fund a wallet and pay only when a job runs.
If you already pay for Luma Pro for video, the voice is nearly free to add. If you need voice only, it is not worth a $90 plan.
- Have a Luma plan with unspent credits: use them for TTS.
- No plan, voice only: a pay-per-use rate avoids the fee.
- Large voice volume with no video: compare ElevenLabs plans per character as well.
Where do I see the same math for other voices?
ElevenLabs TTS on fal at $0.10 per 1,000 characters covers a third reseller. For the credit pools behind Luma's plans, read Luma Plus, Pro and Ultra credit pools.
