On Luma, turning audio on for Kling 3.0 adds 10 credits a second at 720p (30 to 40) and 9 at 1080p (40 to 49). On a monthly Plus plan that is $0.09 to $0.12 a second at 720p and $0.12 to $0.147 at 1080p, so a 10-second 1080p clip with sound costs $1.47 against $1.20 without. The surcharge is 33% at 720p and 22.5% at 1080p, and Luma lists 4K at 147 credits a second.

If a clip does not need sound, the toggle is worth leaving off.

What does each setting cost per second?

Is audio worth the extra on a 10-second clip?

On Plus, 10 seconds at 1080p is 400 credits without audio and 490 with, a difference of 90 credits or $0.27. That is small on one clip and visible across hundreds. For a batch of 100 clips, audio costs $27 more on Plus and $15 more on annual Ultra.

  • One clip: $0.27 more on Plus at 1080p for 10 seconds.
  • A hundred clips: $27 more on Plus, $15 more on annual Ultra.
  • A silent ad that gets a voice-over later: leave Kling audio off and add sound in post.

How does Sume handle audio on video models?

Models differ on whether audio is a toggle, always on or absent, and whether it changes the price. Sume's Video Router docs list the models in its catalog and state that Sume bills provider list times 1.25 on every one. How each model treats audio is covered in AI video audio by model, so check a model's row there before assuming a surcharge or its absence.

I have not priced Kling 3.0 on Sume in this post, so the table above is a Luma-only ladder.

What should I do before a batch?

Decide per clip whether it needs generated sound. Price the silent version first, then add the audio difference from the table to see the real cost of the choice.
