Luma lists Sync Lipsync 2 at 4 credits a second, Lipsync 2 Pro at 6 and Lipsync 3 at 45. On Plus at monthly prices that is $0.012, $0.018 and $0.135 a second, and on annual Ultra $0.007, $0.010 and $0.075. A 30-second clip through Lipsync 3 on Plus therefore costs about $4.05, against $0.36 for Lipsync 2. Sume's H3 Max lip-sync charges $0.0625 to $0.20 per second of audio, but it does a different job.

Luma's models re-sync the mouth in a video you already have. Sume's takes a still image plus an audio file and produces a talking clip.

What do the three Luma models cost per second?

Luma's plans are Plus at $30 a month ($25 annual) for 10,000 credits, Pro at $90 ($75) for 40,000 and Ultra at $300 ($250) for 150,000. The per-second prices below multiply each plan's per-credit price by the model's credits per second, from the pricing page.

How does Sume's lip-sync differ?

Per the repo docs for MiniMax H3 Max lip-sync, Sume takes a still image and an audio clip of 5 to 14.8 seconds, hosted on Sume and under 10 MB, and bills $0.0625 a second at 480p, $0.10 at 768p and $0.20 at 1080p, rounded up to the next audio second. Nothing in it edits an existing video's mouth, so the Luma rows are not a substitute for it, nor the other way round.

Which one should I price for my job?

If you have footage and need new dialogue to match the mouth, the Luma rows are the relevant ones: Lipsync 2 or 2 Pro for pennies, Lipsync 3 when you need the higher tier and can pay about eleven times more per second. If you have a portrait and a voice track, Sume's 480p rate is the entry price, and a 10-second clip is $0.625.

  • Existing video, new voice: Luma Sync Lipsync 2 or 2 Pro.
  • Premium re-sync: Lipsync 3, at 45 credits a second.
  • Still image plus audio, up to 14.8 seconds: Sume H3 Max lip-sync.
