What does a daily 30-second AI short cost per month? Wan vs Seedance
Posting one 30-second AI short a day for 30 days costs $56.25 on Wan 3.0 at 480p and $520.02 on Seedance 2.5 at 720p in video alone, before the 5.5% fee.

One 30-second AI short a day for 30 days costs $56.25 a month in video on Sume with Wan 3.0 at 480p, and $520.02 with Seedance 2.5 at 720p, before the 5.5% platform fee. Each short is one 30-second clip, the maximum length for both models. Voice, music and editing add a fixed amount per short, covered in the finished-minute post.
Assumptions
- One successful 30-second clip per day, 30 days, no retries. Retries that succeed are billed again; failed jobs are refunded.
- Sell price = provider list x 1.25. Wan list rates match fal's Wan 3 page (read 2026-10-07); the Seedance token formula matches fal's Seedance 2.5 page (read 2026-10-07).
- Fee: 5.5% of the monthly model amount, floored.
Monthly arithmetic
Per-clip price times 30 days, then the platform fee on the monthly total.
| Model and resolution | Per clip | 30 clips | 30 clips with 5.5% fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 3.0 480p | $1.88 | $56.25 | $59.34 |
| Wan 3.0 720p | $3.75 | $112.50 | $118.69 |
| Seedance 2.5 480p | $8.06 | $241.81 | $255.11 |
| Seedance 2.5 720p | $17.33 | $520.02 | $548.62 |
Reading the spread
The spread between the cheapest and dearest row is about 9x. Resolution alone doubles Wan, and Seedance 2.5 at 720p costs about 2.15x its 480p price. Budget the model and resolution first; the number of retries comes second.
Keeping it inside a budget
Read your balance before the month starts and top up so the daily reserve never gets a 402. The balance preflight post has a script for that check.
