Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25 on every video-router model, so the margin is 20 percent of what you pay and 25 percent of the list. On 100 Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 clips of 8 seconds at 720p, the margin is $20.00 on a list of $80.00. On 100 Wan 3.0 clips of 30 seconds at 1080p it is $150.00 on $600.00. The table puts the figures side by side so you can budget the margin on its own line.

List versus Sume per clip

Vendor lists come from fal for Omni Flash 1.1 ($0.03, $0.10, $0.15 and $0.30 per second at 360p, 720p, 1080p and 4K) and Alibaba Cloud for Wan 3.0 ($0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second at 480p, 720p and 1080p). Both pages were read on 2026-10-07.

Wan 3.0 720p, 15 s$1.50$1.875$0.375$37.50

What the margin is, and is not

The 1.25 factor applies to each listed video model, including minimax-h3-max. It is a multiplier on the list, so it scales with duration and resolution: a longer or sharper clip carries more margin in dollars, but the same 25 percent on top of the list.

Modal-metered tools follow a different rule. They bill container seconds times the Modal list times 1.25, then the workspace terms, and the capture is never more than the hold. Do not apply the per-second video rates to those tools.

  • Same list, same margin: the percentage does not change with volume.
  • The reserve at submit equals the Sume price; failures refund it.
  • Compare vendors on the Sume price, not the list, if you buy through Sume.

A worked check on one clip

Take one Omni Flash 1.1 clip at 720p and 8 seconds. fal lists $0.10 per second, so the list is $0.80. Multiply by 1.25 to get $1.00, which matches the Sume catalog and the reserve the job holds at submit.

Now take 4K at 8 seconds. fal lists $0.30 per second, so the list is $2.40 and the Sume price is $3.00. The margin is $0.60 per clip, which is $60.00 per 100 clips. The margin grows with the rate, so 4K carries three times the margin of 720p.

If you want to model margin on a plan, apply 0.25 to the list column, or divide the Sume price by 5 to get the margin directly: the Sume price is five quarters of the list, so one quarter of the list is one fifth of what you pay.

Margin on a plan

Take 200 Wan 3.0 clips of 15 seconds at 720p. The list is $300.00 and the Sume price is $375.00, so the margin is $75.00. Keep list and margin on separate lines in your sheet so a change to either shows up without redoing the rest.

Using the figures

If you compare Sume with a direct vendor account, add the margin to the Sume side only when you would otherwise pay the list. A direct account has its own setup costs that these tables do not include. See Wan 3.0 versus Omni Flash 1.1 for where the two models price the same, and how far $20 goes.
