Veo 3.1 Lite is cheaper than Wan 3.0 at 720p and 1080p on the vendors' own list prices: Google lists Lite at $0.05 per second for 720p and $0.08 for 1080p, while fal lists Wan 3.0 at $0.05 for 480p, $0.10 for 720p and $0.20 for 1080p. At 720p that is half the price; at 1080p it is 40 percent. Both read on 2026-10-03.

Side by side

Google's pricing page says all Veo 3.1 tiers include audio by default. fal's Wan 3.0 page shows audio as available. The table uses only the two vendor pages; it is not a Sume rate comparison, and the page for Veo gave no 480p row.

What the price does not tell you

Sume's catalog includes Wan 3.0 (2-30 s, 480p to 1080p) with list x 1.25, which is $0.125 per second at 720p; see the Wan price table. Sume's Video Router docs do not list a Veo id, so a Veo-vs-Wan decision on Sume reduces to Wan against the catalog rows that exist, such as Gemini Omni Flash (compared here). Clip length also differs by model, so compare the cost of the clip you need, not the per-second rate alone.
