TikTok Smart+ Generate with AI: one product per URL, English only
TikTok's Generate with AI for Smart+ starts from a URL with one product, English only, and labels videos AI-generated. What it leaves open and what Sume adds.

TikTok's help page for Generate with AI in Smart+ campaigns says you provide a URL and it produces ad assets. It requires a Website conversions objective with Smart+ on, an optimization goal of Value or Conversion, English content only, and a maximum of a single item or product on the page. AI-generated videos are labeled as AI-generated.
Requirements and limits
Pulled from the page.
| Item | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Objective | Website conversions, with Smart+ enabled |
| Optimization goal | Value or Conversion |
| Language | English content only |
| Products per page | Maximum of a single item or product |
| Editing | Cannot currently edit AI-generated videos within Smart+ campaigns |
| Labeling | AI-generated videos are labeled as AI-generated; other recommended videos come from your previously uploaded videos |
| Availability | Rolled out over time; the button may not appear for your campaign |
Where it leaves a gap
Three limits stand out: a landing page with several products, copy in a language other than English, and a need to edit the generated video, which the page says is not supported. In those cases you would make the clip outside Ads Manager and upload it as your own asset.
Making that clip with Sume
Sume's Video Router takes a prompt for a vertical clip; the docs list seedance-2.5 at 4 to 30 seconds. The Image API takes reference images for the product. Because you wrote the brief, you control the language and the number of products shown.
If you upload a Sume clip that is fully AI-generated, TikTok's disclaimer rules apply to your upload; see the AI-generated disclaimer post. The Generate with AI label on TikTok's own output does not carry over to a file you upload.
Choosing between the two routes
Use TikTok's tool when your landing page features one product, the copy is English and you accept the output as generated. Use your own clip when the page lists several products, when you need another language or when you want to edit the result. In both cases the creative still has to meet TikTok's ad policies, and you remain responsible for accurate claims about the product.
Be honest about the trade
TikTok's tool is faster for the cases it supports because it starts from your URL. Sume does not read your landing page for Ads Manager and does not upload to Smart+. Use TikTok's tool where its limits fit, and Sume where they do not.
