TikTok Shop Academy's misleading content page (last updated 06/25/2026) gives an example: a dress shown in 4 colors when the product detail page lists 3. The Content Policy adds that AI-generated content must match the real product and the product description page. A frame sheet from the clip makes the comparison quick.

Examples of attribute mismatches

These examples come from the Academy page; the full list is longer.

Content says or showsProduct detail page says
Dress in 4 colors3 colors listed
Coffee beans from EthiopiaEthically sourced from Africa
Shoes shown as Brand XBrand Y
Waterproof or sweatproofFeatures not listed
Collagen or vitamin C claimedNot in the ingredient list

Compare clip and listing

Pull stills with video inspect at fps: 1, and place them next to the listing's variant list. For each color, brand mark, accessory or quantity visible, find the matching line in the listing. For spoken claims, add transcribe: true and search the text for the claim words.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-inspect \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: attr-check-001" \
  -d '{"video_url":"https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/dress.mp4","transcribe":true,"frames":{"fps":1}}'

Fix what does not match

If a color appears that is not listed, either add the variant to the listing or cut the shot with video trim. If a claim is only in burned-in text, reburn from a clean master with video captions cues. For AI-generated clips, regenerate the shot with a reference image of the real product so the color is the listed one.
