TikTok Shop size chart rule: add a 20-second sizing clip for $3.68
TikTok Shop wants numeric size charts for fit-critical fashion. A sizing clip can echo the chart, not replace it; a 20 s Sume avatar clip is $3.68 on Standard.

The size chart is listing data, so a video cannot satisfy it. What a short clip can do is read the same numbers aloud next to the product, and a 20-second Sume avatar clip costs $3.68 on Standard (20 s x $0.184), $4.90 on Plus.
TikTok's seller policy page for October 2026 says fit-critical fashion products need "a clear and accurate size chart", with numeric measurements, the unit stated (cm or inches), the measurements required for the product category, and every selectable size SKU covered. Read the page before you plan the clip: the rule is about the chart you upload, not about video.
What the clip should and should not do
A sizing clip earns its place when shoppers hesitate between two sizes. It should repeat chart values exactly, because a clip that says one number while the chart says another is the kind of mismatch that makes a listing look inconsistent.
Keep AI out of the fit claim. An AI avatar cannot show how a garment sits on a body, so do not generate footage implying a fit. Use the avatar only as a voice and face that reads measurements, and show the real product photo as the product image.
- Read values from your chart file, never from memory.
- Say the unit every time: "bust 92 cm", not "bust 92".
- Cover every size you sell in one script, or make one clip per size group.
- Update the clip when a size SKU changes, the same day you update the chart.
Script length and price
Sume estimates avatar duration from the script at about 2.8 words per second, and a script must land between 4 and 60 seconds. A 56-word script is about 20 seconds. The public price is the per-second rate for the quality tier times the planned seconds, rounded up; the rate is higher when a product_image is set.
The table uses the rate card as read today. Your response shows the exact price before you pay, so treat the arithmetic as a budget, not a quote.
| Quality | No product image | With product image |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0.184/s = $3.68 | $0.194/s = $3.88 |
| Plus (default) | $0.245/s = $4.90 | $0.258/s = $5.16 |
| Max | $0.55/s = $11.00 | $0.58/s = $11.60 |
Batching a size-sensitive catalog
If 40 SKUs are fit-critical, a Standard clip each is 40 x $3.68 = $147.20; template the script from your chart export. Plus is $196.00 for the same 40. Since the policy asks that every selectable size SKU is covered, generate from the same spreadsheet that feeds the chart so the two cannot drift.
Start with your five highest-return fashion SKUs, check the spoken numbers against the chart by ear, then scale. Standard is the fastest tier; use Plus when the face and delivery need to look polished.
Where this stops
The policy says charts that are missing, incomplete or inconsistent with the SKUs are the problem. A clip does not fix any of those. Fix the chart first, then add the clip as support, and keep the numbers identical in both places.
