TikTok Shop affiliate pilot: 3 videos a day under 5,000 followers
TikTok Shop's US page puts new affiliates under 5,000 followers in a 30-day pilot capped at 3 shoppable videos a day. What that means for an AI clip workflow.

Per TikTok Shop's US Creator Eligibility Policy, a new Affiliate Creator with fewer than 5,000 followers enters a 30-day pilot program with a posting limit of up to 3 shoppable product videos per day and 3 shoppable LIVEs per week. That is well below the general cap on the same page, so a new account cannot flood the feed with batch output even if it can generate it.
The numbers on the page
The page also lists who can be an Affiliate Creator at all. These are the figures it states.
| Item | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Affiliate Creator minimum | At least 1,000 followers, self-apply |
| Age and location | 18 or older, based in the United States, identity verification (except Official Shop creators) |
| New affiliate pilot (under 5,000 followers) | 30 days; up to 3 shoppable product videos per day and 3 shoppable LIVEs per week |
| General daily cap, effective May 11, 2026 | Up to 30 shoppable short videos and up to 60 shoppable photo posts per day |
Why it changes how you use AI video
With three slots a day, volume stops being the lever. Quality per slot is. The same US program also has rules on AI content, which TikTok Shop's AI content page frames around truthful, accurate product depiction, with disclosure for content that is fully generated or significantly edited by AI (read 2026-10-02).
- Pick the three products with the clearest demonstrable benefit and make one strong clip for each.
- Generate a few takes per product, then choose the one that shows size, color and use accurately.
- Hold weaker takes back; the pilot window is a limit on posting, not on drafting.
Where Sume fits
Sume's Video Router lets you pin a catalog model and request vertical clips; its docs list seedance-2.5 at 4 to 30 seconds with 9:16 as an aspect ratio option. You review the takes and choose which to publish. Sume does not check your Shop eligibility, enrol you in the pilot or post on your behalf, and it cannot tell you how TikTok will rank a given clip.
A three-slot day
A practical way to use the pilot window is to give each slot a job: one clip that shows the product in use, one that shows a detail the listing photos cannot, and one that answers the most common question. Generate two or three takes of each, review them against the real product, and post the best of each.
The page lists shoppable LIVEs as a separate weekly limit of 3, so plan LIVE sessions on their own count.
Check before you plan
The page is the US policy. Other markets have their own Seller Center pages and numbers, and the page can change. Re-read it on the day you plan your content calendar.
