TikTok shoppable photo post: 2 images minimum, 10 products maximum
TikTok Shop's UK page says a shoppable photo post needs at least 2 images and links up to 10 products. How to build an accurate AI image set for one.

According to TikTok Shop's UK Shoppable Photo page, a shoppable photo post needs at least 2 images and can link one or several products, with a maximum of 10 per post. The page also repeats the daily cap of up to 50 shoppable photos per account starting 11/05/2026. It does not list image ratios, file formats or sizes.
The stated limits
Only a few numbers appear on the page.
| Item | What the page says |
|---|---|
| Images per post | At least 2 |
| Linked products per post | 1 or multiple, max 10 |
| Daily cap | Up to 50 shoppable photos per account, starting 11/05/2026 |
| Image ratio, format, size | Not specified on this page |
Where the technical specs live
File format and count limits for API posting are a separate matter. The Content Posting API side is covered in the photo post format post and the 35-image post. Those describe Direct Post, not the Shop link rules on this page.
Building a set that stays accurate
TikTok Shop's US AI rules page says not to alter a product's size, color, material, quantity, bundle contents, features or performance (read 2026-10-02). For a photo set that links up to 10 products, the risk is drift between images, such as the same bag shown in two shades.
- Use the same real product photo as a reference for every image in the set.
- Describe one change per image: background, angle or setting, not the product itself.
- Compare each output with the real product before you link it.
- Do not link a product that does not appear in the set.
A worked layout
For a post that links three products, a simple layout is one hero image per product plus one group shot, which gives four images and clears the minimum of 2 with room to spare. Keep each product visible and unaltered in its own image, and keep the group shot to the real items you sell together. Resist adding bundle contents that the listing does not include, since the page on AI rules names bundle contents as something not to alter.
Sume's image route
Sume's Image API takes a prompt and reference images; its docs list openai/gpt-image-2.5 with up to 16 image references. Run it with the product photo as a reference and keep the prompt to the setting. Sume does not publish to TikTok Shop or attach products to a post, so linking stays in TikTok's tools.
