A 10-second clip at 720p costs $1.00 on Runway's API for wan3 (10 credits a second at $0.01 a credit) and $1.25 on Sume for wan-3.0. For seedance2 the two flip by resolution: Runway charges $3.60 at 480p and 720p and $4.00 at 1080p, while Sume's seedance-2 row costs $1.7577 at 480p, $3.78 at 720p and $8.505 at 1080p. Runway is cheaper at three of the six points below and Sume is cheaper at the other three. All figures are list prices before taxes.

One caution before the table. Runway's page names its models wan3 and seedance2, and Sume names its rows wan-3.0 and seedance-2. This post compares the listed model names and prices only. It does not claim that the two sides serve identical weights, durations or input options.

The 10-second price table

Runway states that credits are sold at $0.01 each and lists a per-second credit rate for each resolution. Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25 and the rows are linear in duration inside the model's valid range.

10-second clip, USD. Runway from its API pricing page (read 2026-10-09); Sume from the catalog price list (as of 2026-10-09).

What the numbers say

The Wan 3 rows are a clean 1.25 times: $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 a second on Runway against $0.0625, $0.125 and $0.25 on Sume. That is exactly the Sume margin applied to what looks like the same list rate, so on price alone Runway is the lower number for Wan 3 at every resolution.

  • Seedance 2 at 480p is the one place Sume is clearly lower: $1.7577 against $3.60 for ten seconds, because Runway bills 480p at the same 36 credits as 720p.
  • At 720p the gap is small: $3.78 on Sume against $3.60 on Runway, a difference of $0.18 per 10-second clip.
  • At 1080p Runway is less than half: $4.00 against $8.505.

What Sume gives you for the extra

Sume's Video Router takes bare catalog ids, bills your workspace USD balance, and returns the same async job envelope for every model. Limits differ by model: wan-3.0 accepts 2 to 30 seconds and seedance-2 accepts 4 to 15 seconds. Reading the live envelope from the models endpoint is better than assuming either vendor's range.

If you already hold a Runway balance and only need Wan 3 or Seedance 2, the table says Runway's API is the cheaper place to spend it at most points. If you want one invoice and one job format across Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3 and Omni, the Sume rows below are what you pay.

Caveats

Runway credit rates can change and the page lists no minimum or maximum durations in the part this post reads. Check the page before you budget a batch. Sume's catalog is also public and is the source for its side of every row.
