Luma's ElevenLabs Music at 98 credits a minute vs ElevenLabs and Sume
Luma lists ElevenLabs Music v1 at 98 credits a minute: $0.16 to $0.29 by plan. ElevenLabs lists $0.15 a minute; Sume charges a flat $0.125 per generation.

Luma lists ElevenLabs Music v1 at 98 credits per minute, which is $0.294 a minute on Plus, $0.22 on Pro and $0.196 on Ultra at monthly prices, or $0.163 to $0.245 billed annually. ElevenLabs lists the same product at $0.15 a minute on its own API page. Sume's Music Router charges $0.125 per generation whatever the model, so a one-minute and a three-minute track cost the same to generate.
On a per-minute basis, buying ElevenLabs Music through Luma credits costs more than buying it direct on every plan; even the cheapest rate, annual Ultra at $0.163, is above $0.15.
What does a three-minute track cost?
Luma bills per minute of audio. ElevenLabs bills per minute too. Sume bills per generation. The table prices a three-minute track on each; the Sume cell assumes you can steer a generation to about that length through the prompt, which the Music Router docs describe, and are not a guarantee.
| Option | Per minute | Three minutes |
|---|---|---|
| Luma Plus, monthly | $0.294 | $0.88 |
| Luma Pro, monthly | $0.2205 | $0.66 |
| Luma Ultra, monthly | $0.196 | $0.59 |
| Luma Ultra, annual | $0.163 | $0.49 |
| ElevenLabs Music API | $0.15 | $0.45 |
| Sume Music Router | per generation | $0.125 |
Why does Sume price music per generation?
Sume's docs say every Music Router model, including lyria-3.5 and lyria-3-pro, charges the same fixed Music price, and the router rejects a duration field. Length is steered in the prompt. That makes cost easy to predict and gives you no price signal for longer tracks, so the fair comparison is output you keep, not minutes requested.
What does this comparison leave out?
Models differ. ElevenLabs Music v1 on Luma and the models behind Sume's router are not the same system, and I have not compared quality. Plan credits expire monthly on most plans, which Luma's page covers. And a plan credit you would otherwise waste is nearly free, which changes the Luma row if you hold a Pro plan for video anyway.
- Same model, different channel: ElevenLabs direct is cheaper than Luma credits per minute.
- Different model, flat rate: Sume's price does not rise with length.
- Spare plan credits: any Luma figure above falls toward zero.
