Hold at submit

Each job reserves its own price at submit, and a short balance fails that call with 402 insufficient_credits (Generation admission). If you queue all 20 at once, keep the balance above the total, not above one shot.

Batch script

Submit one job per shot and keep the job ids; poll or use callback_url for completion.

import os, requests

shots = ["Wide: rooftop at dawn", "Close: hands on a keyboard", "Pan: city street"]
headers = {"Authorization": "Bearer " + os.environ["SUME_API_KEY"]}
jobs = []
for i, prompt in enumerate(shots):
    r = requests.post(
        "https://api.sume.com/v1/videos",
        headers={**headers, "Idempotency-Key": f"board-{i:02d}"},
        json={"model": "seedance-2-mini", "prompt": prompt,
              "duration": 5, "resolution": "480p", "aspect_ratio": "16:9"},
    )
    r.raise_for_status()
    jobs.append(r.json()["id"])
print(jobs)

Reading the grid

Mini at 480p is a pacing check for the whole board. Move only the shots that survive review up to a higher resolution or tier. The draft-to-final upgrade path prices that second pass.
