Wan 3.0 price steps: 480p to 1080p doubles twice at Alibaba and Sume
Alibaba lists Wan 3.0 at 0.3, 0.6 and 1.2 yuan per second for 480P, 720P and 1080P. Sume's rate card keeps the 1:2:4 ratio in USD: $0.0625, $0.125, $0.25.

Alibaba lists Wan 3.0 at 0.3, 0.6 and 1.2 yuan per second for 480P, 720P and 1080P, which is a 1:2:4 ladder. Sume's rate card for wan-3.0 has the same shape in dollars: about $0.0625, $0.125 and $0.25 per second, because the provider list in the catalog is $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 and Sume bills it times 1.25. Every resolution step doubles the price per second.
I do not convert yuan to dollars here, since the two prices come from different sellers on different terms.
The two ladders
The ratio is what carries over, not the number. Compare the multiples and then read each seller's terms for taxes, regions and minimums.
| Resolution | Alibaba (yuan per second) | Sume billed (USD per second) | Multiple of 480p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 0.3 | 0.0625 | 1x |
| 720p | 0.6 | 0.125 | 2x |
| 1080p | 1.2 | 0.25 | 4x |
What a clip costs on Sume
Sume rounds a job total up to the next cent. Using the billed rates above, an 8-second clip costs $0.50 at 480p, $1.00 at 720p and $2.00 at 1080p. A 30-second clip, the model's ceiling, costs $1.88, $3.75 and $7.50.
- 8 seconds: $0.50, $1.00, $2.00.
- 15 seconds: $0.94, $1.88, $3.75.
- 30 seconds: $1.88, $3.75, $7.50.
How to use the ladder
Because the ratio is the same, a draft at 480p costs a quarter of the 1080p final per second. Draft the idea at 480p, check the motion and the sound, and re-run only the approved prompt at 1080p. There is no seed on Sume's video rows, so a re-render is a new take, not a repeat of the draft. Budget for that difference before you promise a client the draft will match.
RATE = {"480p": 0.0625, "720p": 0.125, "1080p": 0.25}
def clip_cost(resolution: str, seconds: int) -> float:
cents = -(-RATE[resolution] * seconds * 100 // 1)
return cents / 100
for res in RATE:
print(res, clip_cost(res, 8), clip_cost(res, 30))Check the live rate
Rates change, and Sume says in the catalog that the provider list is subject to change. Read the live row from GET /v1/video-router/models/wan-3.0 and the Video Router page, and see Generation admission for how the reserve is held. Alibaba's numbers are on its launch note.
