Wan 3.0 30-second 1080p clip: $6.00 at Alibaba, $7.50 on Sume
Alibaba says a 30-second 1080p Wan 3.0 video costs $6.00. Sume bills $7.50 for the same clip. The arithmetic, the cheaper tiers and a Python call.

A 30-second 1080p Wan 3.0 clip costs $7.50 on Sume. Alibaba's launch post puts the same length and resolution at $6.00. The $1.50 difference is the 25 percent Sume adds to the provider list price, which is $0.20 per second at 1080p.
At 720p the same 30 seconds is $3.75 on Sume and at 480p it is $1.88.
Where does the $6.00 figure come from?
Alibaba's August 13, 2026 launch post states the rates as $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second for 480p, 720p and 1080p, and gives a 30-second 1080p video at $6.00 (read 2026-10-04). That matches 30 seconds times $0.20.
Sume's catalog stores the same list rate and applies its billing multiplier of 1.25 on top. The result is rounded up to the cent for each job.
| Resolution | List per second | 30 s at list | 30 s billed on Sume |
|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | $0.05 | $1.50 | $1.88 |
| 720p | $0.10 | $3.00 | $3.75 |
| 1080p | $0.20 | $6.00 | $7.50 |
Is a 30-second Wan clip cheaper than a Seedance 2.5 one?
On Sume, yes. Seedance 2.5 also reaches 30 seconds but is priced per video token; the repo's estimate for a 16:9 30-second clip is $8.07 at 480p, $17.34 at 720p and $42.65 at 1080p. The Wan clip is a small fraction of that at every tier. What Seedance buys is its own reference and editing features, not a lower price.
How do you keep a test cheap?
Draft the idea in 480p at 5 seconds ($0.32), pick the take that works, then spend the $7.50 once. Wan 3.0 accepts a first frame, so the draft's best frame can seed the 1080p job.
A 30-second job is one request and one charge.
- Duration: 2 to 30 seconds per job.
- Resolutions: 480p, 720p, 1080p.
- Modes: text-to-video, image-to-video with optional end frame, reference-to-video.
