Veo 3.1's three prices become one Omni rate after Oct 22
Veo 3.1 Standard, Fast and Lite shut down Oct 22 at the earliest; Google names Omni as the replacement. Per-second cost, and ten seconds on Sume.

Google's pricing page lists Veo 3.1 Standard at $0.40 per second at 720p and 1080p, Fast at $0.10 at 720p, and Lite at $0.05 at 720p. Google's deprecations page lists October 22, 2026 as the shutdown date for all three preview ids (it calls these the earliest possible dates), and the deprecations page names gemini-omni-1.1-flash as the replacement at about $0.10 per second at 720p. Teams on Standard get a 75 percent cut per second; teams on Lite pay twice as much.
Per-second and per-ten-second
Prices come from Google's pricing page, and the replacement from the deprecations page. Ten seconds of footage is just the per-second rate times ten; actual clip lengths differ by model, so check your own lengths.
| Model | Per second at 720p | 10 seconds | After Oct 22 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Standard | $0.40 | $4.00 | Use Omni |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | $0.10 | $1.00 | Use Omni |
| Veo 3.1 Lite | $0.05 | $0.50 | Use Omni |
| Omni Flash 1.1 | about $0.10 | about $1.00 | Replacement |
Who wins and who loses
Standard users pay less per second. Fast users pay about the same per second. Lite users, the cheapest tier, pay double per second for the same nominal footage and should check whether a lower resolution fits. Omni's 360p setting exists, but I did not verify Google's 360p price, so I will not quote it.
Quality is a separate question the price page cannot answer; test your own prompts.
Same clips on Sume
Sume's Video Router bills Omni at provider list times 1.25 per output second, so ten seconds at 720p is $1.25. Sume has no Veo, so there is no Lite-equivalent to compare. The extra 25 percent buys the job envelope: per Generation admission, balance reservation, a queue, and 402/429 errors you can handle in code.
If your Veo spend was mostly Lite on throwaway drafts, a direct Gemini API call will be cheaper. If it was Standard on client work, Omni on either route is a cost cut.
