Veo 3.1 Lite costs $0.05 per second at 720p on Google's pricing page and shuts down on October 22, 2026, 18 days after October 4. One hundred ten-second drafts are $50 on Lite and about $100 on Omni at 720p. Sume's Omni at 360p, from its rate card, is $0.0375 per second, or $37.50 for the same 1,000 seconds, but it adds a 25 percent premium over list and offers no Veo.

The draft math

Veo prices and the shutdown come from Google's pricing and deprecations pages. The Sume 360p figure is the provider list of $0.03 per second in Sume's rate card times the 1.25 house factor described on the Video Router page. Google's pricing page does not list Omni by resolution (it bills output tokens, about $0.10 per second at 720p), so there is no Google 360p row in the table.

Is it worth rushing Lite

For two and a half more weeks Lite is the cheapest Google 720p video in the table. If you have a fixed list of drafts, generate them now and keep the files. But the clips will not be reproducible after the shutdown, and a draft in Lite's look will not match the final render in Omni, so a draft is only a guide to the idea, not to the finish.

Drafting on the same model as your final saves a surprise later. A 360p Omni draft shows how Omni reads your prompt, which Lite cannot.

How to run the cheap drafts on Sume

Submit 3 second, 360p clips to the Video Router with a stable idempotency key per prompt, then re-run only the winners at 720p or 1080p. A three-second 360p clip is about $0.11 at this rate. Mind the plan queue limits in Generation admission: a Free workspace accepts at most six jobs at a time (one processing, five queued). Compare the finished footage, not the per-second rate, before you commit a campaign.
