Tax season reminder clips for a solo accountant: document checklist
A solo bookkeeper can turn a January document checklist into short reminder clips: one background, one cue set per client type, re-burned as dates change.

A solo accountant can send clients a January "what to bring" reminder as a short clip with the checklist burned in as caption cues, one cue set per client type (employee, freelancer, landlord). Generate one calm office-desk clip with Sume, then use POST /v1/video-captions with cues so the list is exact text, not something a video model draws. Always take deadlines and form names from the tax authority's own page for your country.
Why cues instead of a generated checklist?
Video models are not reliable typists, and a document list with one wrong word is worse than no video. Sume's captions page describes cues as authored overlay text burned without speech-to-text, with a start and end for each. The exact words are yours.
How do you cover three client types?
Keep the background clip the same and swap only the cue arrays. That is one video job plus three small caption jobs.
| Client type | Cue 1 | Cue 2 | Cue 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Employee | Income statements | Deductible receipts | Bank details |
| Freelancer | Invoices issued | Business expenses | Prior-year return |
| Landlord | Rent received | Repair bills | Loan interest |
What about the deadline line?
Put the deadline in a final cue, but only after checking it on the official tax site, since dates differ by country and change. Add the line as the last cue so you can update it alone.
- Verify the date on the official page before burning it in
- Keep a text file of cues per client type
- Re-run captions only when a date changes
How do you deliver it?
Send the finished file by email or message. If you run these as API jobs, a HTTPS callback_url or polling the job, as the jobs page describes, tells you when the file is ready. Do not put client names or financial figures into a clip you plan to post publicly.
