Suno v6: 10 credits buys two songs, but Pro downloads 20
Suno v6 costs 10 credits per generation of two songs. Pro has 2,500 credits and 20 downloads a month, so credits are rarely the limit; downloads are.

On Suno v6, each generation makes two songs for 10 credits, the same cost as previous models. Pro includes 2,500 credits a month, which is 250 generations or 500 songs, but only 20 downloads. Premier includes 10,000 credits, 1,000 generations or 2,000 songs, and 60 downloads. For ad work the binding limit is the download count: Suno's pricing page lists commercial use rights on both paid plans and shows downloads as a separate monthly allowance.
The arithmetic
The credit rule comes from the v6 FAQ, the allowances from the pricing page. The pricing page also says included credits do not carry over from day to day or month to month, and that you can buy additional credits and downloads.
| Plan | Price | Credits | Generations at 10 credits | Songs generated | Downloads |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $8 per month | 2,500 | 250 | 500 | 20 |
| Premier | $24 per month | 10,000 | 1,000 | 2,000 | 60 |
Cost per downloadable song
If you used all downloads, Pro works out to $8 for 20 downloads, or $0.40 each, and Premier to $24 for 60, or $0.40 each. That ignores annual billing, which the pricing page says saves 20 percent, and ignores that most songs you generate are auditions you will not download. The real cost per kept song depends on your keep rate: at 1 kept song in 10 generated, Pro's 500 songs would yield about 50 keepers, more than the 20 downloads allow.
- Credits are plentiful relative to downloads on both plans.
- Downloads decide how many ad assets you can legally ship.
- Included credits do not carry over; check Suno's terms for what happens to unused downloads.
The Sume equivalent
Sume's Music Router has no download allowance and no credits-per-song rule: each accepted generation is billed at the fixed Music price, listed as $0.125 on Music 1.0. So 20 kept tracks at a 1-in-5 keep rate means 100 generations, or $12.50. That is the number to compare with $0.40 per Suno download, but the two are not like for like: Suno charges for a subscription month, Sume per accepted job, and the rights terms differ.
Which one to plan around
If you need only a handful of tracks a month, a plan with downloads is fine. If you need tracks in bulk for variants, count downloads first, because credits will not be your bottleneck. Verify the live pricing page before you commit; both plan sizes and v6 credit costs could change.
Output length and style differ by engine, so audition before you compare prices.
