Suno's Premier plan is $24 a month for 10,000 credits and 60 downloads, and Pro is $8 a month for 2,500 credits and 20 downloads, according to a teamday roundup of Suno v6 from Sep 9, 2026. Sume charges a fixed $0.125 per accepted music generation, so 60 generations cost $7.50 and 20 cost $2.50. The comparison is not like for like, and the terms of use differ.

The numbers

The two pricing models count different things. Suno counts downloads against a plan. Sume counts every accepted generation, including the ones you discard.

Sume 60 tracks$7.50 (60 x $0.125)n/a60 generations

Account for rejected takes

Sume's per-generation price does not vary by prompt length or optional image conditioning. If you generate three candidates for every track you keep, 60 kept tracks means 180 generations, or $22.50. Count your real keep rate before comparing.

Rights are a separate question

The teamday summary says Suno grants commercial rights on downloaded tracks only. That is a condition on the Suno side. For Sume, check the terms of service before commercial use; the music docs cover the API and price, not licensing.

Calling the API

Read the current price from the docs or the catalog instead of hard-coding it. The Music Router docs list the routable ids sume/music-auto, lyria-3.5 and lyria-3-pro. The docs charge the same fixed $0.125 for every Music Router model. New integrations should call the router.

  -H "Idempotency-Key: music-001" \
-d '{"prompt":"Warm lo-fi beat, 80 BPM, Rhodes and soft drums. Instrumental, no vocals."}'
