On Suno's pricing page the paid plans cap downloads, so the cost of a song you can keep is the plan price over the download allowance: $0.40 on Pro and $0.40 on Premier billed monthly, $0.32 on either billed annually. Read 2026-10-03. Sume Music bills $0.125 per accepted generation, so eight tracks cost $1.00.

The two numbers do not measure the same thing: Suno counts downloads, Sume counts generations. That difference is the useful part of the comparison.

What Suno's page says

Free is 50 credits a day with no downloads and no commercial use. Pro is $8 a month ($6.40 billed annually) with 2,500 credits a month, 20 downloaded songs a month, advanced models and commercial use. Premier is $24 ($19.20 annually) with 10,000 credits, 60 downloads and Suno Studio. The page says all paid plans can buy extra credits and downloads, and that included credits do not carry over.

Why the plans have the same cost per song

Pro and Premier land on the same unit price, $0.40 monthly. Premier buys three times the downloads for three times the money, and what changes is credits (10,000 versus 2,500) and tools. If you only need downloads, the plans are linear; if you need to audition many takes before keeping one, credits are the constraint.

Suno does not say on the page how many credits a song costs, so I cannot translate credits into generations. That is the missing number for a full comparison.

Sume's per-generation view

Sume Music 1.0 is a flat $0.125 USD per accepted generation, regardless of length or prompt, per the Music docs. So 20 tracks cost $2.50 and 60 cost $7.50. If you generate three takes for every one you keep, the cost of a kept track is $0.375.

The same arithmetic on Suno: generation is limited by the credits you hold, and kept songs are limited by the download allowance. Auditioning draws on credits rather than dollars; on Sume every take is billed.

Limits

Price per kept song is only one of three costs. The other two are time spent auditioning and the cost of a licensing mistake.

  • Licence terms differ and are not priced here; read both before using music commercially.
  • Suno's credit cost per song is not on the page.
  • Quality and style control are not comparable from a price table.
