What it means for a series

A sponsored episode usually has one beat where the product is held up or named. The rate applies to the video you generate with the product image, so you can keep the other episodes in the series on the no-product rate and add the image only in the sponsored one. A 10-episode season of 30-second clips at Plus is 10 x $7.35 = $73.50, and making just one of them a product beat adds $0.39.

For the whole season, compute it from your own episode lengths rather than from a round number. Multiply seconds by the rate for your tier, add the product delta only for the episodes that carry the sponsor, and keep a separate line for the $0.95 one-time avatar creation if the presenter is new.

The same table scales to the longest clip. At the 60-second maximum on Plus, a product beat costs 60 x $0.258 = $15.48 and a plain one costs 60 x $0.245 = $14.70.

The request

Generation uses POST /v1/avatar-1.0/talking-video. The duration window is 4 to 60 seconds, the default aspect ratio is 9:16 and the resolution is 720p. You pick the avatar, the script and optionally the product image. Tier is one of standard, plus or max. Check the avatar video page of the docs for the exact field names before you write code against it.

Draft cheap, finish once

If the sponsor wants to see the product for only a few seconds, consider a multi-scene video: one scene with the product image and the others without. Check the docs on how the charge is determined across scenes before you assume a split; we have not verified per-scene pricing and the numbers above are for a single video.

  • Use a preview first: POST /v1/avatar-video-previews, then regenerate until the framing is right, then generate the video.
  • Draft on Standard and finish on Plus or Max for the episodes that carry the sponsor.
  • Keep the product image on a plain background; one clear object is easier for the presenter to hold than a collage.
  • Disclose sponsorship in the episode as the platform or your jurisdiction requires. The tool does not do it for you.
