10 products, one 18-second avatar clip each: cost with a product image
Ten 18-second Avatar Video clips cost $33.12 at standard, $44.10 at plus and $99.00 at max; a product image adds $1.80 on standard.
Ten 18-second Avatar Video clips, one per product, cost $33.12 at the standard tier, $44.10 at plus and $99.00 at max on Sume. Adding a product image raises the rate: $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58 per second, which is $34.92, $46.44 and $104.40. Avatar 1.0 speaks English only, so the scripts must be in English.
The arithmetic
Avatar Video bills per second at a fixed tier rate. The Sume catalog lists standard at $0.184, plus at $0.245 and max at $0.55 per second without a product image, and $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58 with one.
| Tier | One clip, no product image | One clip, with product image | Ten clips, no image | Ten clips, with image |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $3.312 | $3.492 | $33.12 | $34.92 |
| plus | $4.41 | $4.644 | $44.10 | $46.44 |
| max | $9.90 | $10.44 | $99.00 | $104.40 |
What the product image costs
The product image adds $0.18 to an 18-second standard clip, $0.234 at plus and $0.54 at max. For 10 products that is $1.80, $2.34 and $5.40. The surcharge is small beside the tier choice: moving from standard to max costs $65.88 on these ten clips.
Pick the tier by where the clip is seen, then decide on the product image by whether the product should appear on screen. A talking-head clip with a spoken product name needs no image; a clip that shows the product does.
- Avatar 1.0 is English-only.
- Check the estimate with dry_run before submitting ten clips.
- Quote debited spend from the usage ledger, not the held amount.
Mixing tiers
A run need not use one tier. Put the hero product at max and the other nine at standard, with product images on all ten: $41.868. That is $62.532 below ten max clips and $6.948 above ten standard ones.
Scripts and length
Write the script for each product, check it in English, and keep each one to the same length so the ten clips cost the same. A longer script on one product moves that clip's price by its per-second rate for every added second, for example $0.97 for five extra seconds at standard with an image.
Retakes on avatar clips
Plan for a few clips to be redone. If 2 of the 10 are regenerated once at standard with an image, add $6.984 to the $34.92 base, for $41.904. At max with an image, the same two retakes add $20.88.
A failed job is refunded, so only a clip that completes and then gets rejected counts as a retake. Keep the original script and tier in your sheet so the retake reproduces the same price.
- Standard tier: the cheapest line, suited to many SKUs.
- Plus tier: a middle rate for the clips seen most.
- Max tier: reserve for the one or two hero clips.
Budget for the run
At the standard tier with a product image, ten clips reserve $34.92, so a $50 wallet clears them with $15.08 to spare. At max with an image the same ten reserve $104.40. See a 60-second avatar video by tier for the longer-length table, and finishing costs for holiday ads for captions and renders.
