Seedance 2.5 aspect ratio price: 9:16, 1:1 and 21:9 vs 16:9
On Sume, a 10-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip is $5.78 at 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, and $5.81 at 21:9, because price follows pixels. See the table and the 1080p row.

Does a vertical 9:16 clip cost more than a 16:9 one? On Seedance 2.5, not meaningfully. The price follows pixel count, and Sume's frame sizes for each ratio are nearly equal in area at a given resolution. That is useful when you plan one creative in several placements.
Frame sizes Sume prices
Sume's pricing code maps each resolution and ratio to a fixed frame. At 720p: 16:9 is 1280 x 720, 9:16 is 720 x 1280, 1:1 is 960 x 960 (all 921,600 pixels), 21:9 is 1470 x 630 (926,100) and 4:3 is 1112 x 834 (927,408). The six ratios 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 and 9:16 are the ones the Seedance rows in the Video Router catalog accept.
| Ratio | 720p frame | 720p price | 1080p price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16:9 | 1280 x 720 | $5.78 | $14.22 |
| 9:16 | 720 x 1280 | $5.78 | $14.22 |
| 1:1 | 960 x 960 | $5.78 | about $14.2 |
| 21:9 | 1470 x 630 | $5.81 | $14.29 |
Practical reading
The fal page lists the same six ratios plus an auto mode (read 2026-10-05). If your campaign needs three ratios, three jobs cost three times; they are separate generations, not crops of one.
- Pick the ratio for the placement, not the price. The spread is under 1 percent.
- Ultrawide 21:9 is a real option on the Seedance rows. Gemini Omni Flash on Sume takes only 16:9 and 9:16, and
sume/autofails closed on other ratios. - Do not rely on 'auto' ratio for budgeting: the estimator treats it as 16:9.
