Seedance 2.5 fal list vs Sume billable: 5 s $2.31 to $2.89

fal lists a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip at about $2.31 and a 30-second one at $13.87. Sume bills list x 1.25: $2.89 and $17.34. What the 25 percent covers.

Vendor and aggregator pages quote provider list prices. Sume's invoice is different, and a buyer reading both should know the gap before putting numbers into a plan. Here is the Seedance 2.5 case, using the fal page's own examples.

The two examples

fal's Seedance 2.5 page gives the rule as $0.0214 per 1,000 tokens, with tokens = (height x width x seconds x 24) / 1024, and shows examples: 5 seconds at 720p 16:9 about $2.31, and 30 seconds about $13.87 (read 2026-10-05). Sume bills the provider list multiplied by 1.25 and rounds up to the cent.

What the 25 percent buys

If your volume is large and you only ever call one provider, the direct route is cheaper. If you test several models a week, the shared envelope is what you are paying for. Either way, quote with the Sume number: the usage.cost on the poll response is the billable amount.

  • One wallet and one API shape across Seedance, Wan, MiniMax, Kling and Omni, with the same job and webhook envelope.
  • The reserve, capture and refund path: a failed or canceled job is refunded.
  • Job-level controls such as the Idempotency-Key header on submit and signed webhooks, listed in Sume's contract docs.
