$100 of Seedance 2.5: how many 5 to 30 second clips it buys
A $100 Sume balance buys 37 ten-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 480p, 17 at 720p and 7 at 1080p. Table for 5 to 30 seconds, plus a Python price function.

A $100 balance on Sume buys 37 ten-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 480p, 17 at 720p and 7 at 1080p. Each job is billed at list x 1.25 on its video tokens, so the count scales almost linearly with seconds, and 1080p costs more than twice 720p per second because both the token count and the token rate rise.
These counts assume every take completes and you keep every take. For the cost of rerolls see the cost-per-kept-clip post; failed jobs are refunded.
Clips per $100 by length
Each cell is clips per $100 (price of one clip). 16:9; other ratios move the price by less than 1.5% at 720p and 1080p.
| Length | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 s | 74 ($1.35) | 34 ($2.89) | 14 ($7.11) |
| 8 s | 46 ($2.15) | 21 ($4.63) | 8 ($11.38) |
| 10 s | 37 ($2.69) | 17 ($5.78) | 7 ($14.22) |
| 15 s | 24 ($4.04) | 11 ($8.67) | 4 ($21.33) |
| 20 s | 18 ($5.38) | 8 ($11.56) | 3 ($28.44) |
| 30 s | 12 ($8.07) | 5 ($17.34) | 2 ($42.65) |
Reproduce the table in Python
The script below reproduces the table without calling the API. It uses the provider list rates in the Sume repo; confirm them against GET /v1/videos/models before a large run, because list rates can move.
import math
DIMS = {"480p": (864, 496), "720p": (1280, 720), "1080p": (1920, 1080)}
RATE = {"480p": 0.0214, "720p": 0.0214, "1080p": 0.0234} # list USD per 1,000 tokens
def price(res, seconds):
w, h = DIMS[res]
tokens = math.ceil(w * h * seconds * 24 / 1024)
return math.ceil(tokens * RATE[res] / 1000 * 1.25 * 100) / 100
balance = 100.0
for res in DIMS:
for seconds in (5, 10, 30):
cost = price(res, seconds)
print(res, seconds, "s", f"${cost:.2f}", int(balance // cost), "clips")Limits that shape the count
A 480p clip is a draft: 864x496 pixels per frame. The 4-second minimum applies at every resolution, and 30 seconds is the ceiling for seedance-2.5. Seedance 2.0 and its Fast and Mini siblings top out at 15 seconds, so a $100 plan for 30-second clips has to use 2.5.
