Runway's Team plan, announced in its changelog on Sep 4, 2026 (read 2026-10-02), is a self-serve plan with 6,900 credits per month per seat in a shared pool, up to 9 users, and 1 TB of storage. It is for small teams who want one pool of credits rather than separate Standard or Pro accounts. Sume's team option is a shared workspace with a pooled wallet.

What the changelog says

The Team entry is dated Sep 4, 2026 and marked for all plans, meaning it is visible to everyone. The changelog gives the three numbers below. Runway's pricing page (read 2026-10-02) links to a separate Team plan page but does not show a Team price in its main comparison, so a dollar price is not stated here.

How it sits next to individual plans

On the same pricing page, individual plans list storage of 20 GB (Standard), 100 GB (Pro) and 500 GB (Max), and monthly credits of 625, 2,250 and 9,500. A single Team seat at 6,900 credits is therefore bigger than Pro and smaller than Max in credits, with more storage than either.

Because credits are pooled, one heavy user can use more than their own seat's 6,900, which is the point of a shared pool, and also the reason to watch consumption per project.

What Sume offers for teams

Sume's changelog lists an org and team pooled wallet and team concurrency controls (v0.2.59, August 1, 2026). The pricing FAQ says the Startup plan adds a shared team workspace and more parallel jobs, and Scale adds the highest self-serve concurrency.

The model is different: Sume bills generations from a balance at the rates on the API pricing page, not from a per-seat credit allowance. There is no per-seat credit number to compare, and Sume does not publish a Runway-style user cap in the docs read for this page.

How to compare

The cheaper option depends on how evenly your team uses the pool, so do the arithmetic with your own clip mix.

  • Estimate your team's monthly clip count and length.
  • Price those clips at Runway's per-model credit rates and at the Sume rate card.
  • Count seats you actually need: Runway's Team page caps at 9 users.
  • Check how each tool treats unused credits at month end.
