Replicate FLUX 1.1 Pro vs Sume flux-2-pro: a 250-image refresh
Replicate lists FLUX 1.1 Pro at $0.04 per image. Sume's flux-2-pro is $0.0375. For 250 images that is $10.00 against $9.375; FLUX Schnell is $0.003.

Generating 250 images costs $10.00 with FLUX 1.1 Pro on Replicate ($0.04 per output image) and $9.375 with flux-2-pro on Sume ($0.0375 per image). The two are different model generations, so the saving of 6.25 percent is a price fact, not a quality claim.
Per-image rates at three volumes
Replicate's pricing page, read 2026-10-09, lists FLUX 1.1 Pro at $0.04 per output image and FLUX Schnell at $3.00 per thousand output images, which is $0.003 each. Sume's catalog lists flux-2-pro at $0.0375 per image. Sume's docs do not list FLUX Schnell.
| Images | Replicate FLUX 1.1 Pro | Sume flux-2-pro | Replicate FLUX Schnell |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | $10.00 | $9.375 | $0.75 |
| 1,000 | $40.00 | $37.50 | $3.00 |
| 10,000 | $400.00 | $375.00 | $30.00 |
What drives the choice
The price gap is small, $0.0025 per image, so reasons other than price decide this. Replicate's FLUX Schnell is far cheaper at $0.003 an image and I found no Schnell row in Sume's docs, so if you do bulk drafts it is the cheaper route by a wide margin. Sume's advantage is breadth: its image router lists nano-banana-2.1, gpt-image-2.5, seedream-5-lite, imagen-4-fast and others behind one /v1/images route and one USD balance.
Sume also reserves the price at submit and returns the billable amount on the job, which makes a batch of 250 easy to budget; the image docs describe the route. A longer look at this pair is in the FLUX 1.1 Pro price comparison.
A quick check before switching
Run twenty of your own prompts through each model and compare, since style differs between FLUX versions. If the outputs are acceptable, the arithmetic above gives the monthly saving: at 10,000 images it is $25 a month, which may not justify a migration.
Counting retries
Real jobs need retries. If 15 percent of images are rejected by a reviewer, 250 kept images need about 294 generations: 250 / 0.85 = 294.1, rounded up to 295. At Replicate's $0.04 that is $11.80, and at Sume's $0.0375 it is $11.0625. The rate matters more than the model tier in a re-roll workflow, so measure your reject rate on a sample first.
Also compare output formats and maximum sizes on each model page before switching.
What I could not confirm
Replicate's page shows these as example prices. Other FLUX models on Replicate may be priced by hardware time, so a model not named above needs its own page checked. All vendor figures were read on 2026-10-09 and are listed in the sources; Sume figures come from its public catalog and docs the same day.
