Queue 12 holiday clips at once: the wallet balance the holds need
Twelve 15-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clips hold $104.004 at submit on Sume. If the balance is lower, later jobs return 402 insufficient credits.

Twelve 15-second 9:16 clips at 720p on Seedance 2.5 reserve $8.667 each, so the holds total $104.004. Your wallet needs at least that before you submit the batch. Jobs that find too little balance fail with 402 insufficient credits.
The point of a hold is that the price is known before the render starts. The errors and credits docs explain reserve at submit, capture on success and refund on failure.
Holds add up before anything finishes
If you submit all twelve at once, every job reserves its own estimate immediately. A wallet of $60 would cover 6 of them, not twelve, because each hold is $8.667.
Settling releases or captures a hold, so a balance that is short at submit time can be enough later. A queue with a concurrency limit keeps fewer jobs in flight, but each submitted job still checks the balance.
| Clips in flight | Hold per clip | Total hold |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $8.667 | $8.667 |
| 4 | $8.667 | $34.668 |
| 8 | $8.667 | $69.336 |
| 12 | $8.667 | $104.004 |
| 20 | $8.667 | $173.34 |
A safer sizing rule
Take the batch total, add one retake per ten clips, and top up to the next multiple. For 12 clips that is $104.004 plus one retake of $8.667, which is $112.671. A $100 wallet covers it with $-12.671 left.
The wallet sizing table covers the single largest hold, and the top-up post lists the on-demand range of $10 to $1,000.
When a job fails
A failed job returns its hold, so a stuck render does not eat the balance. A retake costs one new hold, not a second charge on top of the first.
Check the job status before you resubmit. A job that is still running keeps its hold until it settles.
Checklist
- Estimate each clip with the token formula or the public rate.
- Multiply by clips in flight, not clips in the whole campaign.
- Keep a retake margin before a deadline like Black Friday, November 27.
