On Runway, Gen-4.5 works out to $0.096 to $0.23 per second of video depending on plan, and Seedance 2.0 Pro at 1080p to $0.32 to $0.77 per second. That follows from the pricing page: Gen-4.5 costs 60 credits per 5 seconds (12 per second) and Seedance 2.0 Pro 1080p costs 160 credits per 4 seconds (40 per second).

Step 1: dollars per credit

The Runway pricing page lists Standard at $12 a month with 625 credits, Pro at $28 with 2,250 and Max at $76 with 9,500, with the monthly prices as shown for annual billing. Dividing gives the credit price.

PlanMonthly priceCreditsDollars per credit
Standard$12625$0.0192
Pro$282,250$0.0124
Max$769,500$0.0080

Step 2: seconds a plan buys

Multiply the credit price by the credits per second. The last two columns show how many seconds a full month of credits covers if you only render that model.

Pro$0.149187.5$0.49856.3
Max$0.096791.7$0.320237.5

What to take from it

A Standard plan covers about 15 seconds of Seedance 2.0 Pro at 1080p, which is barely two takes of eight seconds. The same credits give 52 seconds of Gen-4.5. A model choice changes the usable footage per plan by more than three times, and a plan upgrade changes it by up to 15 times for the same model (15.6 to 237.5 seconds).

The figures are arithmetic on listed prices, not Runway invoices, and they ignore any credits spent on other tools in the same month.

The Sume comparison

Sume does not use plan credits for video jobs. Billing is a USD balance at provider list price times 1.25, reserved at submit, and each model's rate is readable from pricing_skus at GET /v1/videos/models. That lets you quote a clip in dollars before you submit it. Details are in the video generation docs.
