One 30 second 16:9 master covers six placements with four Timeline renders at $0.10 each and one 6 second trim at $0.02, for $0.42 in total on Sume. The 16:9 file serves skippable in-stream as it is, and the other sizes come from the Timeline.

The six placements

Sizes come from the vendor pages, read on 2026-10-08. Where a page gives only a recommendation, the table says so.

The arithmetic

Timeline pricing is $0.10 per output minute, rounded up, so a 30 second render costs $0.10. Trim is $0.02 per job. The Shorts and Instagram Feed placements can share one 1080 x 1920 file because both ask for 9:16. Each render is 30 seconds, so none crosses the one-minute boundary where the price would double.

Why the 16:9 render is optional

If your master is already 1920 x 1080, you can skip that Timeline render and use the file directly, which drops the total to 3 x $0.10 + $0.02 = $0.32. Render it anyway when you want the same fades or fit treatment across the set, or when the master is not exactly that size.

  • Use fit cover when the crop is acceptable and fit blur when you cannot lose the sides.
  • A 9:16 file from a 16:9 master crops hard, so check the frame with video frames.
  • Captions add $0.20 per job each, so four burned-in variants add 4 x $0.20 = $0.80.

What to watch

Keep every render at 60 seconds or less. A 61 second output rounds up to two minutes and doubles the price. The 6 second bumper must stay inside Google's 5 to 6 second window, so set duration 6 rather than relying on an end time past the source, which clamps with a warning. Before you upload any of the five files, probe each one with video inspect and confirm that the duration and size match the row in the first table. A wrong size here costs one more $0.10 render; a wrong size found in ad review costs a day.
