Media tool prices for 10, 100 and 1,000 files on Sume
Cutouts $0.0225, image upscales $0.20, video upscale $0.009 a second, trims $0.02, transcripts $0.01 a minute: totals for 10, 100 and 1,000 files on Sume.

Cutting out 1,000 product photos costs $22.50 on Sume, upscaling 1,000 images costs $200.00, trimming 1,000 clips costs $20.00, and transcribing 1,000 five-minute files costs $50.00. These are the per-file prices of Sume's non-generative media tools, which are metered separately from image, video and voice generation.
The table gives the cost for 10, 100 and 1,000 files per tool. Each figure is the unit price multiplied by the count, with no volume discount applied; Sume's rate card has no tiers.
The table
Unit prices are the Sume public rates as of 2026-10-07. Video upscale is metered per second of input, so the row assumes a ten-second clip; scale it linearly for other lengths, within the 30-second job cap. Speech-to-text is $0.01 per audio minute, so a five-minute file is five cents.
The cheapest operations are cents. At 1,000 files, trims and filters cost $20 each and audio detach $10, so a long chain of light tools is still a small bill beside generation.
| Tool and unit | Per file | 10 files | 100 files | 1,000 files |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Background removal, per image | $0.0225 | $0.225 | $2.25 | $22.50 |
| Image upscale, per image | $0.20 | $2.00 | $20.00 | $200.00 |
| Video upscale, 10-second clip | $0.09 | $0.90 | $9.00 | $90.00 |
| Speech-to-text, 5-minute file | $0.05 | $0.50 | $5.00 | $50.00 |
| Timeline trim, per job | $0.02 | $0.20 | $2.00 | $20.00 |
| Audio detach, per job | $0.01 | $0.10 | $1.00 | $10.00 |
| Timeline filter, per job | $0.02 | $0.20 | $2.00 | $20.00 |
Chains cost the sum of their steps
A product-photo pipeline that cuts out and upscales every image is $0.2225 per photo, $222.50 per 1,000. A short-form pipeline that detaches audio, transcribes a five-minute file and trims a clip is $0.01 + $0.05 + $0.02 = $0.08 per file, or $80 per 1,000. Add steps by adding their rows; there is no bundle fee.
Upscale is the expensive tool by far: at $0.20 an image it is nearly nine times a cutout. If you need larger images only for the keepers, cut out first, review, then upscale only what you keep.
A subtitle workflow, for example, is audio detach ($0.01) plus transcription ($0.01 a minute): a 10-minute video costs $0.11, and 1,000 of them $110.00, if the audio needs two five-minute jobs or one ten-minute job.
Why these tools are priced differently from generation
Generation prices follow a provider list price times 1.25, rounded up to the cent per job. The media tools are listed on the public rate card at their own unit prices, per image, per input second, per audio minute or per job. This post is a snapshot of that card on 2026-10-07, so check the rate that applies to your first job before you scale.

Dated facts used here
The unit prices are Sume's public rates on 2026-10-07: $0.0225 per cutout, $0.20 per image upscale, $0.009 per input second of video upscale, $0.01 per audio minute of speech-to-text, and $0.02 or $0.01 per Timeline job. Speech-to-text jobs take up to 10 minutes of audio and video upscale up to 30 seconds, so longer inputs become several jobs.
