Sume's video upscale is $0.009 per video second on the rate card: a 5-second clip is $0.045, 10 seconds is $0.09 and 30 seconds is $0.27, before the 5.5% agent fee that applies by default. The request's duration_seconds field is the input length used for the reserve; if you omit it Sume reserves 5 seconds, and the field accepts at most 30.

These figures are from the rate card and the /v1/video-upscale-1.0/upscale request schema in the API reference.

What does a clip cost by length?

The price is linear in input seconds.

Video upscale cost by input length, Sume rate card, read 2026-10-01.
Input lengthCost at $0.009 per second
5 seconds (default reserve)$0.045
10 seconds$0.09
30 seconds (field maximum)$0.27
100 clips of 10 seconds$9.00

What does omitting duration_seconds do?

It reserves 5 seconds, so a 20-second clip with no hint holds $0.045 against a real job of $0.18. Send the real length so the reserve matches the work and a low balance fails early with 402 insufficient_credits instead of mid-job.

How do I call it?

Send video_url, an upscale_factor (default 2, up to 4) and the duration. Tiers fast, standard and pro are available through enhancement_tier, default fast; the rate card lists one per-second price.
