Anam custom avatar slots per plan vs Sume avatar handles
Anam limits active custom avatars by plan, from 1 on Free to 10 on Professional. Sume's avatar docs describe a handle per avatar and one avatar per video.
Anam counts custom avatars as a plan slot. The Sume docs cited here describe no slot count: each avatar is created with its own avatar_handle, and each final video uses one resolved avatar. I found no per-plan avatar cap on those pages, so check your account before relying on that.
Anam facts are from its pricing page; Sume facts from Create new avatar and Generate avatar video, read 2026-10-01.
How do Anam's avatar slots work?
The pricing table lists Custom Avatars by plan: 1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 3 on Explorer, 5 on Growth, 10 on Professional, unlimited on Enterprise. Slots set how many custom avatars can be active at once. A one-shot avatar from an image or text prompt takes under 2 minutes.
| Question | Anam | Sume docs |
|---|---|---|
| Avatar limit | 1 to 10 by plan | None stated in cited pages |
| Create from | Image or text prompt | Prompt, profile or reference image |
| Avatars per video | Not in the pricing page | One resolved avatar |
How do I create an avatar in Sume?
POST /v1/avatar-1.0/generate with a top-level avatar_handle and an input union (prompt, props profile, or photo with a public HTTPS image_url). Each request creates a job; poll it, then use the handle to generate videos. The handle is stored normalized without a leading @.
Can one video use two avatars?
Current execution supports one resolved avatar per final video, with scene backgrounds resolving to one shared scene. For two speakers, see two-host podcast, one avatar per video.
