Is Gemini Omni Flash free? Vids, YouTube Create and the API

It depends where you use it. Google says anyone with a Google or Google Workspace account can generate videos with Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash in Google Vids at no cost. Its Gemini API pricing page lists the Free Tier for Gemini Omni Flash as not available, so API use is paid.

Those are Google's statements, read 2026-09-29, and Google can change them. Sume bills gemini-omni-flash-1.1 per output second, so it is not free either.

Is there a limit on the free Vids videos?

Yes. Google's Vids Help page says most users can generate up to 50 videos per month, each 3 to 10 seconds. The same page says images and videos generated in Vids are for use only within Vids, so a free clip may not be portable to other tools.

What does it cost through Sume?

Sume's docs list gemini-omni-flash-1.1 at 3–10 second clips and say billing is the provider's list price times 1.25 per output second by resolution. At 720p that is $0.1250 per second, plus a 5.5% agent fee by default. Higher resolutions cost more per second and 360p costs less; current rates are on API pricing.

Sume does not offer a free tier for this model in its docs. If you only need a few short clips and have a Google account, Vids is the route Google describes as free; if you need a call from your own code, use the API.

Because billing is per output second, a 5-second clip costs five times the rate for its resolution. Try a low resolution first if you are only checking a prompt.
