FLUX.3 Image in credits: 4.1, 4.8, 10 and 60.7 per image
Black Forest Labs bills FLUX.3 Image at 1 credit = $0.01. A $50 balance buys 1,219 images at 768sq, 1,041 at 1k, 500 at 2k and 82 at 4k. Sume does not list it.

Black Forest Labs prices FLUX.3 Image in credits, where 1 credit equals $0.01. That makes a 768sq image 4.1 credits, a 1k image 4.8 credits, a 2k image 10 credits, and a 4k image 60.7 credits. A $50 balance buys 1,219, 1,041, 500 and 82 images respectively, rounding down. Sume does not list FLUX.3 in its catalog as of 2026-10-09; the closest rows Sume lists are the FLUX.2 models.
This page converts BFL's published numbers into credits and image counts, since that is how the BFL dashboard shows them.
Credits per image and images per $50
The prices are from the Black Forest Labs pricing page. The page says that the submission response includes the cost of each request, so you can confirm the credit count on your first call.
| Resolution | Output size | Price | Credits | Images for $50 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 768sq | 768 x 768 | $0.041 | 4.1 | 1,219 |
| 1k | about 1 megapixel | $0.048 | 4.8 | 1,041 |
| 2k | about 4 megapixels | $0.100 | 10 | 500 |
| 4k | about 16 megapixels | $0.607 | 60.7 | 82 |
The 4k step is 12.6 times the 1k step
Going from 1k to 4k multiplies the price by 12.6 ($0.607 divided by $0.048), while the pixel count grows by about 16 times. Going from 1k to 2k multiplies the price by 2.08 for about 4 times the pixels. In credit terms, a 4k image costs the same as 12 or 13 images at 1k. If you only need a 1.5 megapixel hero for the web, the 2k step is the better value, as the pixel count per credit is highest there.
Per 1,000 images
For a monthly plan, scale the same prices by 1,000. A thousand images cost $41 at 768sq, $48 at 1k, $100 at 2k, and $607 at 4k. If a catalog of 1,000 products needs one 2k hero and one 768sq thumbnail each, the FLUX.3 bill is $141. The same two images on a flat per-image row such as Sume's flux-2-pro at $0.0375 would cost $75 for 2,000 images, since the Sume price list does not step by resolution for that row.
What Sume lists instead
Sume's price list carries flux-2-pro at $0.0375 and flux-2-flex at $0.0625 per image (provider list price times 1.25). For $50 that is 1,333 FLUX.2 pro images or 800 FLUX.2 flex images. Those rows are priced per image rather than per resolution step, so a 1k and a 4k request cost the same per the Sume price list, which is not true at BFL's FLUX.3 rates.
That does not make the two equal. A FLUX.3 request at BFL and a FLUX.2 request on Sume are different models with different outputs. Use this page for the budget math only, and test each model on your own prompts.
If you need FLUX.3 today
You would have to use BFL's API directly, since Sume has no FLUX.3 catalog row to send a request to. Before you integrate, read BFL's pricing page again, because credit prices can change. For Sume, check GET /v1/images/models for the FLUX rows that are actually served. The Image API docs list the capability descriptors that decide which parameters a model accepts, and Sume rejects unlisted parameters with 400 unsupported_parameter.
