Adobe expects traffic from generative AI sources to U.S. retail sites to rise 130% this holiday season, with Thanksgiving up 159%, Black Friday up 95% and Cyber Monday up 88%. Sume does not rank you in any AI assistant and has no feature that does. What it can help with is the part you control: accurate product media, readable captions, and checking that a finished clip says what your page says.

What the Adobe figures say

The numbers are forecasts of referral traffic growth, and they say nothing about which products an assistant will recommend.

What a seller can prepare

A shopper who arrives from an assistant lands on your page and judges the media. Three checks are in your hands.

First, make sure the product in the clip matches the product on sale: color, size and packaging text. Second, put the key claim in on-screen text, so a clip works with sound off. Third, check the finished file. The video inspect endpoint returns probe facts and stills for a Sume-hosted clip and can transcribe it, and video frames pulls an exact frame, so you can read the text a viewer sees.

  • Compare the first frame and the last frame against your product photo.
  • Read the transcript if the clip has speech and compare it to your product description.
  • Keep specifications in the page text as well, not only inside the video.

Limits

Sume cannot make an assistant cite you, and video content is not necessarily read by assistants the way page text is. The docs describe video inspect as returning probe facts, stills and an optional transcript, not a judgment of accuracy. The forecast is Adobe's, covers U.S. retail traffic, and does not mean a given product will be mentioned.
