Ninety seconds of 1080p footage costs $7.20 on Veo 3.1 Lite, $10.80 on Fast and $36.00 on Standard at Google's list prices, and $16.875 on Gemini Omni Flash through Sume. On Sume that is nine 10-second requests.

A brand film is usually judged shot by shot, so the real cost is the number of takes on the few shots that carry the film.

Straight totals

Each total is 90 times the per-second price. The 4K column is there for Standard, Fast and Omni on Sume.

Lite does not list 4K.

Where a brand film differs

A brand film has fewer, longer shots than a hook test, and a client watches each one closely. That pushes the takes per keeper up. If a hero shot takes six takes at 10 seconds on Omni 1080p, that shot alone is $11.25.

At six takes for every shot, the whole film is six times the table: $43.20 on Lite, $64.80 on Fast, $216.00 on Standard and $101.25 on Omni on Sume. These are cost illustrations, not observed take counts.

A sensible plan on Sume

Draft each shot at 360p, $0.375 for 10 seconds, until the framing is right. Then render the approved ones at 1080p. If you draft each of the nine shots four times and render once, the cost is nine times (4 x $0.375 + $1.875), which is $30.375. That is below six full takes at 1080p, which cost $101.25.

For the one shot that needs the best picture, a 4K render is $3.75 for 10 seconds.

Be honest about limits

Sume does not list a Veo model. Its Google video model is gemini-omni-flash-1.1, which takes 3 to 10 seconds at 360p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, in 16:9 or 9:16, with audio always on. Sume bills the provider list rate times 1.25 for each output second, so its rates are $0.0375, $0.125, $0.1875 and $0.375 a second. Veo is not available there, so the Veo rows need a Google account. Consistency of a character across nine separately generated shots is a real risk in either case, and no price table fixes it.
