A series of 30 avatar episodes, each 45 seconds long, is 1,350 seconds of avatar video. On Sume that costs $248.40 at the standard tier, $330.75 at plus and $742.50 at max, plus a one-time $0.95 to create the avatar and the 5.5% platform fee. Per-second prices come from Sume's published API rates.

What you pay for

The avatar video docs list one avatar-creation charge and a per-second video charge by quality tier. Both are in the API pricing table in the repo: creating an avatar is $0.95, and video is $0.184, $0.245 or $0.55 per second for standard, plus and max (read 2026-10-07). You create the avatar once and reuse it across the series.

The series arithmetic

Episode cost is seconds x rate. Series cost is 30 episodes plus the single avatar creation. The 45-second length is the assumption here; scale the seconds column for yours.

Notes on the numbers

  • The table is video only; voice, music and a timeline pass are separate lines, priced in the finished-minute post.
  • Rates with a product image attached differ slightly; this table uses the plain rates.
  • Each job reserves its price at submit and refunds if the job fails, so a failed episode does not stay billed.

Budgeting the run

The tier is the cost lever: max costs about 3x standard per second. If only the hero episodes need max, mix tiers and sum the rows. The series budget post shows the same exercise for generated scenes.
