52 weekly 20-second avatar updates: $191.36 Standard, $572 Max
A weekly 20-second Sume avatar update costs $3.68 on Standard, $4.90 on Plus and $11.00 on Max. A year is $191.36, $254.80 or $572.00 plus $0.95 once.
A 20-second avatar clip costs $3.68 on Sume Standard, $4.90 on Plus and $11.00 on Max. Fifty-two weekly clips are $191.36, $254.80 and $572.00, plus a one-time $0.95 to create the avatar.
That is a rendered clip each week, not a live call. Tavus's real-time Griffin-Lite model is a research preview for select trusted testers and, in Tavus's words, not available to customers at this time, so a recurring video update has to be rendered.
The numbers
Sume avatar video is billed per second of finished video, with a window of 4 to 60 seconds per job. Rates without a product image are $0.184, $0.245 and $0.55 a second.
Add a product image and each second costs a little more: $0.194, $0.258 and $0.58.
| Tier | Per second | One clip | 52 weeks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0.184 | $3.68 | $191.36 |
| Plus | $0.245 | $4.90 | $254.80 |
| Max | $0.55 | $11.00 | $572.00 |
Choosing a tier for a recurring update
A weekly update is the case where the cheapest tier usually wins, because the audience sees the same face for a year and quality differences are judged once. Render one clip on each tier, pick, and keep it. Standard saves $380.64 a year over Max.
If you change the length instead, 15 seconds on Standard is $2.76 a week and $143.52 a year.
What is not in these totals
The totals leave out captions ($0.20 per clip for up to 60 seconds), any Timeline render and retakes. A retake of a rejected clip is billed again at the same rate.
Check live prices against the pricing page and the avatar video docs before you commit a year.
