Snapchat single video ad: 25-char brand, 34-char headline, 720x1280
Snapchat's single image or video ad lists 9:16 at 720x1280, 3-180 s, a 25-character brand and a 34-character headline. Here is how to prepare each with Sume.

Instagram's 1% aspect tolerance: which odd sizes still pass 9:16
Instagram video ad pages list a 1% aspect ratio tolerance. Here is the arithmetic for 9:16 widths, and how to render an exact 1080x1920 shot in Sume Timeline.

TikTok ad account name: 20 characters, and Spark caption: 4 lines
TikTok's In-Feed page lists a 20-character account name (10 for CJK scripts) and a 4-line Spark caption. Write them before you render the Sume clip.

TikTok ad 516 kbps bitrate floor: smallest file for 10 minutes
TikTok lists a minimum bitrate of 516 kbps and a 500 MB cap for non-Spark ads. The math gives 38.7 MB at the floor for 10 minutes, and Sume cannot tune bitrate.

Pinterest video Pins: crop a 9:16 master to 1:2, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5
Pinterest lists 9:16 full-bleed plus 1:2, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5 and 1:1, from 4 s to 5 min. Centred crop fractions from a 9:16 source with Sume video-filter.

Crop a 16:9 master to 1:1 and 4:5: widths 0.5625 and 0.45
A centred 1:1 crop of 16:9 keeps 0.5625 of the width; 4:5 keeps 0.45. LinkedIn lists both ratios. Exact Sume video-filter crop values with rounding notes.

TikTok ad AI disclosure: the AIGC label or your own caption
TikTok's ad policy accepts the AIGC label or your own clear disclaimer, caption, watermark or sticker. Here is what Sume can burn in and what it cannot.

Can video-trim output a 4K frame? Each side is capped at 2160 pixels
Sume video-trim conforms output to 256 to 2160 pixels a side at 24, 25, 30 or 60 fps, exact precision only, so a 3840 pixel side is refused. Read 2026-10-10.

TikTok Ad Network thumbnail is the first frame: check frame 0
TikTok's Ad Network spec says the first frame is the default thumbnail. Pull frame 0 with Sume video frames, and skip a fade-in so the thumbnail is not black.

Media API length limits side by side: trim, filter, frames, compose
One table of the source and output length limits for Sume's media tools: 300 s, 900 s, 1800 s and the 60 s caption price band. Read 2026-10-10.

LinkedIn video ad 5% aspect tolerance: crop a tall phone recording
A 1080x2160 phone recording is about 11% off 9:16, so LinkedIn's 5% tolerance can reject it. Crop it to 1080x1920 with Sume video filter first.

Blur and dim a video background so captions stay readable via API
Use video-filter with a dim op and a gblur filtergraph: $0.02 per encode, a free check first, 300 s source limit. Whole-frame only. Read 2026-10-10.

Suno Speech makes voice and music as one track. Sume keeps them apart
Suno Speech beta renders voice and music together. On Sume you generate speech, a music bed and a ducked mix as separate jobs, so each can be redone alone.

Lemon8 video length and ratio: 60 s, 3:4, prepared on Sume
Lemon8 supports videos up to 60 seconds and favors 3:4. Trim a longer clip to 60 s, crop 16:9 to 3:4 and conform to 1080x1440 with Sume.

TikTok pop-out showcase: 8 s minimum, 3 s in, 5 s tail
TikTok's pop-out add-on needs video of at least 8 s; the pop-out shows 3 s in and ends 5 s before the end. Work out the window and trim a clip to fit on Sume.

Runway Enhance Frame Rate (24 to 120 fps) vs Sume's fps conform
Runway's Enhance Frame Rate converts video to 24-120 fps at 1 credit per 2 seconds. Sume's trim only conforms to 24, 25, 30 or 60 fps.

Pinterest Idea ad video: 100 MB on web, 2 GB in app, 5 minutes max
Pinterest lists 100 MB on web and 2 GB in app for Idea ad video, up to 5 minutes. Here is the average bitrate each cap allows and how to check a Sume export.

Snapchat Commercials need H.264: trim keyframe copies the source codec
Snapchat lists H.264 mp4 or mov for Commercials. Video trim keyframe is a stream copy, exact re-encodes to libx264, so use exact if the source is not H.264.

Pinterest Idea ad safe zone 270 top, 440 bottom: place captions
Pinterest's Idea ad safe zone leaves 820 by 1210 pixels on a 1080x1920 video. Work out the caption band, then test Sume's anchor_ratio against a still.

X website-button video: headline sits 8-12 px in, move captions
X's spec puts the headline 8 to 12 pixels from the left and bottom of a website-button video. Keep burned-in Sume captions clear of that corner at 800x450.

Pinterest video ads start at 4 seconds, Sume trim allows 0.2: gate it
Pinterest's standard video ad minimum is 4 seconds and 15 minutes max, but video trim accepts 0.2 to 900 seconds. Add a length gate before you upload.

One frame at 12.5 s: video-frames vs video-inspect
Video frames returns a frame at its source size from clips up to 300 s. Video inspect defaults to 768 px, caps at 2160, and takes clips up to 1,800 s.

Shorts library track limited to 30 or 60 s: share of 3 minutes
YouTube says most Shorts songs run 90 seconds in a 3-minute Short, some 60 or 30: 50, 33 or 17 percent. See how a Sume soundtrack bed fills the rest.

16:9 clip in Snapchat's 720x1280 frame: contain fills 31.6 percent
A 1280x720 clip placed in a 720x1280 Snapchat frame fills 405 of 1,280 rows with contain. See what cover crops and what blur does in a Sume timeline render.

Video inspect on a 60 s clip: stills at 3.75 s, then every 7.5 s
With no frames program, video inspect returns 8 mid-bin stills. On a 60-second clip they land at 3.75, 11.25, 18.75 seconds and on, 768 px on the long edge.

Snapchat Commercials: 3-6 s or 7-180 s, a 6.5 s cut fits neither
Snapchat lists Standard Commercials at 3 to 6 seconds and Extended Play at 7 to 180. Cut to the exact second with video trim exact and check duration_seconds.

A 300-second recording in 24 stills: video-frames fps 0.08
Video frames caps a call at 24 stills and a 300-second source. Send fps 0.08 and a 300-second clip gives 24 mid-bin stills, one every 12.5 seconds.

X video ad thumbnail: PNG or JPEG under 5 MB, pulled from your own MP4
X accepts a PNG or JPEG thumbnail up to 5 MB that matches the video. Sume video frames returns a still at a time you pick, at source size.

One ad for X and Snapchat: no shared aspect ratio, render two masters
X lists 16:9 or 1:1 for video ads and Snapchat lists 9:16, so they share no ratio. A 140-second length fits both. Two Sume renders cost $0.60.

Fabric accepts image_url or avatar_handle, never both: which to send
On Sume's VEED Fabric 1.0 route, send one visual source: the image_url of an inspected still, or an avatar_handle the user named. Both together is not allowed.

Pinterest max-width video from a 9:16 master: the 1:1 height limit
Pinterest max-width video cannot be taller than 1:1. A 1080x1920 master becomes 1080x1080 with cover (56.25% of rows) or blur (608 px wide picture).

Trim a Reel clip's dead start and end from first and last word
Take the first word's start and the last word's end from STT, then add 0.15 s lead and 0.30 s tail: a 29.9 s clip becomes 1.69-27.92 s for $0.03.

Pause-cut with Timeline alone: 14 slots from one source, no trims
One Timeline render can cut 14 pauses from a single clip with source_in slots and audio.parts: $0.11 total, versus $0.39 with 14 trim jobs first.

Keep 0.24 s of breath: shorten pauses instead of deleting them
Pad each kept range by 0.12 s per side and 9 pauses totalling 6.35 s lose 4.19 s, not 6.35 s. The speech keeps a 0.24 s breath at every join.

Check pause-cut seams with video frames: 24 stills cover 12 seams
Video frames returns up to 24 stills per call. Two stills per seam covers 12 seams per call, so a 14-cut Reel needs 2 calls to see every join.

Pause cuts from STT words: a 0.35 s gap rule and the 0.2 s trim floor
Turn STT word times into keep-ranges: cut gaps over 0.35 s, drop slivers under the 0.2 s trim minimum, and price 8 trim jobs at $0.02 each.

Read probe width, height and rotation before 9:16 crop fractions
A 9:16 crop needs width = 9/16 x H / W: 0.3164 for 1920x1080 but 0.5625 for a square clip. Read the probe first, and swap W and H if it reports rotation.

Reframe 16:9 to 9:16 before you burn captions, not after
Crop a 16:9 clip to 9:16 with video-filter (width 0.3164, x 0.3418), then caption. Order trim, crop, caption: $0.02 + $0.02 + $0.20 = $0.24.

Fit a voiceover to 30 seconds: tune TTS speed between 0.6 and 1.5
generation_config.speed runs 0.6 to 1.5 on Sume TTS. Three takes of a 450-character script cost $0.064125 total, so measure the file and retune.

Podcast video episode over 30 minutes: Sume's 1800-second source limit
Sume video trim, audio detach and video inspect all cap a source clip at 1,800 seconds. A 45-minute podcast video must be split before you import it.

Voiceover plus music bed: TTS and Lyria cost, duck_db in Timeline
A 700-character voiceover ($0.03325) and one Lyria bed ($0.125) cost $0.15825 before the render. Timeline duck_db (0 to 20) lowers the bed under speech.

TTS word timestamps for captions: timestamps.words and what you get
Set timestamps.words true on Sume TTS and the result carries words[] with start and end seconds. A 600-character caption script costs $0.02850.

Soundtrack for a 3-minute Short: one prompted track or a looped bed
Music Router is $0.125 per generation whatever the length, so a 3-minute Short pays the same for one prompted track or a 30 s bed looped by Timeline soundtrack.

Voice greeting on a still photo: TTS first, then H3 Max lip sync
To make a still photo speak, make 5 to 14.8 seconds of TTS audio, then call MiniMax H3 Max lip sync. TTS costs $0.0475 per 1,000 characters.

Face swap API has no prompt or aspect_ratio: the three-field body
Sume's face swap beta takes three fields: avatar_handle, video_url and quality. No prompt or aspect_ratio exists. It reserves 15 seconds at the tier rate.

HEVC phone clip for LinkedIn: exact trim re-encodes, keyframe copies
LinkedIn lists H.264 or VP8. Sume's exact trim re-encodes to libx264, while keyframe trim copies the stream, so a phone HEVC source stays HEVC with keyframe.

Timeline audio mp3 adds padding at every edge: keep wav to rejoin
Sume timeline audio outputs wav (default, sample-exact) or mp3, which adds priming padding at each edge. Re-joined mp3 parts leave gaps.

One square size for TikTok and LinkedIn ads: 640x640 to 1920x1920
TikTok's square minimum is 640x640 and LinkedIn's maximum is 1920x1920. A 1080x1080 render clears both; 600x600 fails TikTok and 2160x2160 fails LinkedIn.
