Google's Gemini API pricing page, read on 2026-10-04, lists three Veo 3.1 tiers: Lite at $0.05 a second at 720p and $0.08 at 1080p, Fast at $0.10, $0.12 and $0.30 for 720p, 1080p and 4K, and Standard at $0.40 for 720p and 1080p and $0.60 for 4K. The page says the prices include audio. Thirty seconds of footage at those rates ranges from $1.50 to $18.00.

Thirty seconds at each rate

The Veo column is rate times 30 from Google's page. The Sume rows are billed amounts from the repo estimator for Wan 3.0, which accepts up to 30 seconds in one clip. The comparison is of price only; it does not cover quality or whether Veo is available in your workflow.

What the comparison shows

  • The range inside Veo is 12x, from Lite 720p at $1.50 to Standard 4K at $18.00. Wan 3.0 at 720p on Sume ($3.75) sits between Veo Fast 720p ($3.00) and Veo Standard ($12.00).
  • Google's note says you are charged only if the video is generated successfully; Sume's docs describe holds that are captured on success and released on failure.
  • A 30-second ad is usually several clips, not one, so retakes multiply these numbers.

Resolution tiers inside Veo

Within Veo 3.1 Fast the jump from 1080p to 4K is 2.5 times ($0.12 to $0.30 a second). Within Standard it is 1.5 times ($0.40 to $0.60). Lite does not support 4K, per Google's page. So 4K is where Veo's price climbs fastest in the Fast tier.

On Sume, Wan 3.0 steps from 720p to 1080p by 2 times ($0.125 to $0.25), and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 offers 4K at $0.375 a second on Sume, from the same estimator that prices 360p at $0.0375. Those comparisons are within each product's own price list, which is the only fair way to read them.
