/v1/videos 402 insufficient_credits: reserve is list x 1.25
Sume reserves provider list x 1.25 when you submit a video. 402 insufficient_credits means the workspace balance is below that hold; 8 s Omni at 720p is $1.00.

POST /v1/videos returns 402 insufficient_credits when your workspace USD balance is below the amount Sume reserves at submit. The reserve is the provider list price times 1.25 for the model you chose. The poll response later shows the billable amount in usage.cost.
Examples of what must be in the balance
Reserve arithmetic for a few rows, using Sume's per-second rows (fal list x 1.25). Confirm your own model in GET /v1/videos/models or the Video Router catalog.
| Request | Rate per second | Reserve |
|---|---|---|
gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 8 s, 720p | $0.10 x 1.25 = $0.125 | 8 x $0.125 = $1.00 |
gemini-omni-flash-1.1, 10 s, 4K | $0.30 x 1.25 = $0.375 | 10 x $0.375 = $3.75 |
wan-3.0, 5 s, 480p | $0.05 x 1.25 = $0.0625 | 5 x $0.0625 = $0.3125 |
wan-3.0, 30 s, 1080p | $0.20 x 1.25 = $0.25 | 30 x $0.25 = $7.50 |
Reserve and capture
The Video Router docs say billing uses the same admit, reserve and capture path as other generation jobs, with the billable amount rounded up to cents. So the amounts above are before that rounding, and the reserve can differ from the final capture.
Handling a 402
Treat a 402 as an account state, not a transient error. Do not retry it in a loop. Top up the balance, or reduce the request: a lower resolution, a shorter duration, or a cheaper row.
Batch math
Check the worst case before you queue a batch. Each submit reserves its own amount, so 20 jobs of 30 s at 1080p on wan-3.0 hold 20 x $7.50 = $150.00 at the same time.
