Transcription cost: Scribe v2 $0.22/hour vs Sume's $0.01 per minute
ElevenLabs Scribe v2 lists $0.22 per hour of audio; Sume's video inspect transcript is $0.01 per audio minute ($0.60 per hour). Cost of 10, 60 and 600 minutes.

Transcribing an hour of audio costs $0.22 on ElevenLabs Scribe v2 and $0.60 on Sume, which charges $0.01 per audio minute for the transcript option of video inspect. The vendor is 2.7 times cheaper per hour on pure transcription; Sume's price covers a transcript that comes with the video inspect job, so it fits when you need both.
The Scribe figure is from ElevenLabs' API pricing page as read today, where Scribe v2 and Scribe v2 Medical are $0.22 per hour and Scribe v2 Realtime is $0.39 per hour. Sume's rate is in the Video inspect docs.
Totals
Scribe: hours x $0.22. Sume: minutes x $0.01, plus the inspect job's own compute charge.
| Audio | Scribe v2 | Scribe v2 Realtime | Sume transcript option |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 min | $0.037 | $0.065 | $0.10 |
| 60 min | $0.22 | $0.39 | $0.60 |
| 600 min | $2.20 | $3.90 | $6.00 |
What the Sume number leaves out
Sume's docs say every inspect also reserves its Modal compute ceiling and is captured at its own container seconds times the Modal list times 1.25 plus a platform fee, never above the hold, with the transcript adding its per-minute rate to that reservation. So the $0.01 per minute is the transcript line, not the whole job.
If you only need text from audio files at volume, the vendor rate is lower. If you are already inspecting video for frames and probe data, the transcript is an add-on of $0.01 per minute of audio.
