TikTok unoriginal content and the For You feed: AI batches
TikTok keeps reused material with nothing new out of the For You feed. How to plan templated Sume batches so every video carries something new of its own.

TikTok says content is ineligible for the For You feed if it includes "unoriginal or reused material without anything new," and lists reused content posted without creative edits, including clips showing someone else's watermark or logo. A Sume batch is not reused by definition, but near-identical renders with only a name swapped may offer little that is new, so vary the substance of each item.
Read from TikTok's integrity and authenticity guidelines (version 2026H2update) on 2026-09-30. The page states the rule; it does not say how the feed measures it.
What does the page call ineligible?
Two bullets under "FYF INELIGIBLE" in the IP section, and a separate not-allowed entry for violating someone else's copyright, trademark or IP.
| Page item | Category | Batch implication |
|---|---|---|
| Reused or unoriginal content without creative edits, such as clips with someone else's watermark or logo | FYF ineligible | Do not re-post downloaded clips |
| Low-quality or minimally edited content, such as clips made from GIFs only | FYF ineligible | Each item needs real editing |
| Content that violates others' copyright, trademark or IP | Not allowed | Use references you have rights to |
How do I give each batch item something new?
A bulk request is a server-side queue of ordinary Format runs, up to 100 with a concurrency window (Bulk runs). Put the variation in the per-item inputs: a different script, product, angle or setting, not just a different name. See Format bulk runs for the queue mechanics.
Can I build on someone else's clip?
Reference-guided generation takes your own reference_image_urls and/or reference_video_urls (Video generation). Use references you own or have rights to. The trending-videos search returns metadata only, and in the MVP supports tiktok only (Trending videos); it does not download or mirror clips.
Does trimming count as a creative edit?
Cutting a range into a new MP4 with Video trim is a mechanical step. The page's examples are reused clips with no creative edits and minimally edited content. A cut alone adds nothing new, so treat trim as preparation, not as the creative edit.
