TikTok Ads Help lists Travel Ads video at 5 to 60 seconds, with 21 to 34 seconds recommended, up to 500 MB and a bitrate of at least 516 kbps. Dimensions and file formats are the same as in-feed video. Sume can trim to length and re-encode, but it exposes no bitrate field, so check size and bitrate on the exported file.

The Travel Ads specification

Catalog images are separate from video and have their own minimum.

Cut to the recommended window

A raw destination clip is often under 5 seconds or over 60. Video trim cuts a range with start and duration; a 30-second window sits inside the 21 to 34 recommendation. Exact mode re-encodes frame-accurately, and output can set width, height and fps (fps 24, 25, 30 or 60) in exact mode.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-trim \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: travel-30s-001" \
  -d '{"video_url":"https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/resort.mp4","start":4,"duration":30,"audio":"keep"}'

Check size and quality yourself

Trim rejects codec, crf and ffmpeg fields, so you cannot request a bitrate. After export, read the file size in your storage and probe the clip with video inspect (frames: false). If a 30-second 1080x1920 file is far under 516 kbps in your player's stats, regenerate the source at higher quality rather than trying to fix it in trim.

Travel cards cover part of the frame, which the best practices page explains; the sibling post on the lower-left corner covers placement.
