TikTok Shop campaign score: 3.5 to enroll, 3.0 to stay, QA gate
TikTok Shop campaigns need a 3.5 Shop Performance Score to enroll and 3.0 to keep benefits. Add a pre-publish check that extracts stills from each AI clip.

TikTok Shop's campaign FAQ sets the bar at a Shop Performance Score of 3.5 or higher to enroll, and 3.0 or higher to keep benefits afterward. The FAQ does not link any video to the score, but a clip that shows the wrong product is the kind of mismatch worth catching, so put a short QA gate between rendering and publishing.
Thresholds
| Requirement | Value | Window |
|---|---|---|
| Shop Performance Score to enroll | 3.5 or higher | At enrollment |
| Shop Performance Score to stay | 3.0 or higher | After enrolling; below it, benefits are revoked |
| Account Health Rating | Over 150 | At enrollment |
| On-time delivery | 80% or more | Prior 30 days |
| Seller-fault cancellation | 5.0% or lower | Prior 30 days |
Why a clip gate belongs here
The FAQ does not tie any single video to the score, so the link here is indirect: the AI-generated content policy prohibits changing a product's size, color, material, quantity, features or safety attributes, and prohibits changing its appearance so it no longer matches what customers receive. A viewer who receives something different from the clip is exactly the situation a seller wants to avoid before a campaign.
So the gate has one job: confirm the product on screen is the product in the listing.
The gate with video frames
Video frames extracts 1 to 24 stills from one media.sume.com clip at times you name (at[]), or at an fps up to 2. The clip must already be on media.sume.com (import it first with POST /v1/media-imports). Stills come back as jpeg by default or png, the source can be up to 300 seconds, and a submit always returns 202, so poll GET /v1/video-frames/{id}. Compare the stills with the listing photo and check the color, the visible quantity and the stated features.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-frames \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: qa-frames-001" \
-d '{
"video_url": "https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/talk.mp4",
"at": [0, 3, 6, 9],
"format": "png"
}'Where to run the gate
Run the gate on the final render, not on the draft, because the last re-encode or caption pass is where a surprise can slip in. Sume stores the result of video frames as durable media.sume.com images, so a reviewer can open them later and the check leaves a record next to the clip.
Keep the gate small. Four to six stills across the clip cover the product reveal, the demo and the end card. The tool allows up to 24, but a longer review is not necessarily a better one.
A short checklist
- Product color in the stills matches the listing photo.
- Count of units on screen matches what ships.
- No feature appears that the product does not have.
- No size cue (a hand, a shelf) makes the product look bigger than it is.
- Disclosure is decided: toggle or on-screen note.
