TikTok Shop price claims: burn the conditions next to the price
TikTok Shop wants price conditions disclosed: time limits, purchase minimums, location limits. Burn them as caption cues beside the price, $0.20 up to 60 s.

If your TikTok Shop video shows a price, show its conditions too. The 2026 content success guide says to disclose all conditions: time limits, purchase minimums and location restrictions. The practical way is to burn them into the video next to the price as timed caption text. With Sume's video-captions you send cues with text, start and end, and the text is burned without speech recognition.
What the two TikTok pages say
| Topic | Statement | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Conditions | Disclose all conditions: time limits, purchase minimums, location restrictions | Content success guide |
| Strike-through price | Shows only when the sale price is below retail | Campaign FAQ |
| Campaign price changes | May need up to 5 business days of review | Campaign FAQ |
| Where to manage | Seller Center > Marketing > Campaigns | Campaign FAQ |
Burn the conditions with cues
Video captions takes a public HTTPS video_url. Send cues as phrase-level overlay text. You can send only one of script_text, words, cues and segments. cues is the documented path for burning authored text on a silent clip.
Put the price and its conditions in one cue, or in back-to-back cues with no overlap, so the condition is on screen whenever the price is. The docs do not say how overlapping cues stack, so avoid them and check the render. design.placement.anchor_ratio moves the line for the styles that support design.

}'Cost and timing
Each standalone caption job is $0.20 for videos up to 60 seconds under the current estimate. Burn conditions once, in the final pass, since changing a price means a new burn at $0.20. If a campaign price edit needs up to 5 business days of review per TikTok, finalize the price before you render, not after.
Checklist
- Price, deadline, minimum and location in the same cue block.
- Strike-through only if the sale price really is below retail.
- Cue times cover every second the price is on screen.
- Re-burn if the price or condition changes.
