Teal pumpkin sign and non-food treat cards: a 3-image set
Make a printable Teal Pumpkin Project door sign, a treat menu card and a square post with Ideogram 4.5 on Sume. $0.18 at list for three mediums, text proofread.

To make a Teal Pumpkin Project sign, generate one portrait image with a teal pumpkin and a short quoted line such as "Non-food treats here", then proofread the spelling before you print. With Sume's Image API that is one call to ideogram/ideogram-v4.5, which lists $0.06 at medium quality, so a sign, a treat card and a square social post come to $0.18 at list before Sume's margin.
The idea comes from FARE. Its Teal Pumpkin Project page (read 2026-10-04) says a teal pumpkin outside a home signals that non-food treats are available for trick-or-treaters with food allergies. Candy still dominates: the NRF's 2026 survey (read 2026-10-04) has 61% of consumers handing it out, so a clear sign matters on a street where most doors do.
What three images do I need?
A door sign, a menu of what is in the bowl, and a post for the neighbourhood group. They are the same message in three shapes, so generate them from one prompt skeleton and change only the aspect ratio and the quoted lines.
| Piece | Aspect ratio | Quoted text | Quality | List price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Door sign | 3:4 | Teal Pumpkin / Non-food treats here / Happy Halloween | medium | $0.06 |
| Treat card | 3:4 | Tonight's non-food treats: stickers, pencils, glow sticks | medium | $0.06 |
| Neighbourhood post | 1:1 | Look for the teal pumpkin on Oct 31 | medium | $0.06 |
| Set | $0.18 |
How do I keep the lettering correct?
Put each line of text in quotation marks in the prompt, say that nothing else should be written, and keep the wording short. Then read the output letter by letter. Ideogram prices by quality, not size, so a retry is another $0.06 at medium: cheap enough to regenerate until every word is right rather than fixing a typo in a print shop. The same habit is described in quote every line, then proofread.

"aspect_ratio": "3:4",
"quality": "medium",
"mode": "sync"
}'Which non-food treats can I name on the card?
FARE's materials suggest small toys and trinkets instead of candy, and common examples include glow sticks, stickers, pencils, bouncy balls and temporary tattoos. List only what you actually bought. If a treat has a food-contact or small-parts warning, leave it off the card.
How do I get the image out and print it?
A synchronous image call returns data[].url, a Sume-hosted signed URL, in the response; if the wait goes past 30 seconds you get a job envelope instead and read the images from the job result. Download the file and print at the size you need. The set is ready before Saturday, October 31, and a second teal pumpkin sign for the gate costs another $0.06 at list.
